    Interesting piece.

Does the new tool hold the blade flat like the DEvette or add a curve?

How does the protracted angle of cap top to cutting edge compare.

On my first outing with the DEvette I tried a ‘ride the cap’ approach. Ultimately I found myself ‘riding the edge’ similar to other edge forward shaving devices.

    Hey Bill!
It bends the blade some when you tighten the handle.
It has a rounded head compared to the DEvette.
You can ride the cap with this one but because of the thicker top cap it does not allow you to lower the angle as I like.
I assume some may like that type of angle.

The head design makes the head shave not as productive.

More as I get to play with it.

    Thanks Dave!
The handle reminded me of a tack hammer handle.

Let me start by saying the Ard Al Zaafaran Oud 24 hours was a christmas present from my sister in 2019, of which knew nothing about and wasn't aware it was a Tom Ford Black Orchid clone,to me it was just a nice christmas present fragrance...Longevity?.. I have been lucky to get a good batch because the longevity on mine is excellent only a few squirts goes along way.Scent wise to my nose which isn't the best at describing scents ,When i first i spray it on i get a minty/citrus chocolate hit. After ~15 minutes it becomes more spicy-fruity, sweet woody The flower notes are strong, but when it dries down i'm left with a sweet floral woody with a nice touch of chocolate. which lingers for around 4-5 hours....I was that impressed with it i bought myself another bottle that i've still yet to open....As always opinions are very subjective..One more thing i will point out about it,is i find it's fragrance is more stronger in the winter than the summer...Remember it a fragrance clone, not the real deal...Hope this helps. Yours-Barry.;)

This morning, I switched to the Clubman Shave Cream, sticking with the Clubman Original A.S. I tried both my razors and got a cut at about the same place as previously. using the Red Tip. What a shame! The Sensor Deuce saved me. Maybe a little too much administering of the aftershave...we'll see how the Aisle 12 crowd reacts today as I go grocery shopping. The use of the Shave Cream keeps the Grandpa's Barbershop(Central Texas Soaps)amount in good form(not that it is in danger of expiring at this time). My dad and I did a reverse Aqua Velva ad when I was still a "rookie" shaver....I had the Clubman Shave Cream back then, liked it so much that I told my Dad he should try it. Course the big difference is that I didn't flip the can to him. He liked it. :). Anyway, back to me and today. One pass was good enough. That cream still comes out like a squiggly snake, but it's gooood stuff. Ready to enjoy the day!

Fabulous Fat shave today. I will be smelling good as we head of to Manhattan for the day with my son and granddaughter. We are surprising my granddaughter with a trip in to the American Girl store at Rockefeller Center. She will pick out a doll, have both ther hair and the doll’s done. While the girl’s do that Anthony and I will venture over to the Ninetendo store at Rockefeller Center. Following we will have lunch in a restaurant and then head home.
Today’s shave with the VC4 was superb. Super smooth and comfortable. I am ready for my adventure smelling good with a spritz of the Piacenza EdT. Have a great day gentlemen.

I admire your persistence Paul. You may be better served with dialing in one of those razors. How about trying a two week mini focus with one of them to see if you shave results improve.

SOTD SATURDAY MORNING, FEBRUARY 27, 2021

This morning I shaved with two awesome razors. The Dubl Duck 11/16 has always performed beautifully for me. As I mentioned yesterday it came from the estate of my childhood barber, Joe Roselli, through his grandson, Vince. I wonder sometimes whether Joe ever used it to shave my neck with it as a child. Like my C-Mon Special, it sings as it works! The results were a foregone conclusion. Three slow passes with the Traveling Wilburys “End of the Line” playing in the background put the baby to bed! My dome shave featured one of the jewels of my collection, the Eclipse Red Ring, fitted with a fresh Feather DE. This little razor is every bit as efficient as my Muhle 2011 R41 and required focus during the two pass ATG shave. The resulting Wilburys’ finish left me clean, refreshed and dolphin smooth.

RAZOR: Dubl Duck Goldedge 11/16 (Mug), Eclipse Red Ring (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JT Sapele/Resin Handled Omega Pro48 Boar
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme AS Balm.

Ditto. Thanks for the nice comments! I actually thought there was an EdT in Felce Aromatica. Must’ve been my eyes playing tricks as I was ‘skimmer’ browsing long ago. Haven’t looked in ages.

Well....I suppose I'll think about that. Overall, I just do better with the Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE. Recently I've been getting bad cuts with the Red Tip. If I do end up going full tilt with the DisposeABLE, I will keep the Red Tip around for a "once-in-a-while" go.
