Good shave, Terry! You might want to try a Kai blade in the new razor! Almost as sharp as a Feather and a smidge wider. Enjoy your Saturday, my friend.

It's a great song while shaving. Glad to see your journey to your destination of Smooth Street was a safe one which is the last stop on the Barber's Line. Have a fine day Jeff!

Fatabulous shave Joseph! I like the backdrop of the first pic because it looks as though you are looking at the stars in deep space.

Very nice shave Jim! I am surprised that you were not happy with Neil's (Heritage Collection) gel boar brush because you have a few of his badger brushes.

Paul, first off, I am really happy that you are trying the DE style of shaving. I believe if you continue shaving with the Gillette Red Tip, you will eventually become very proficient using it.
But, since you are the one that likes disposABLES on this thread, I thought of you when I saw these "new" razors in Walmart.

It even comes with a free hook to hang your razor.

You probably will. I have a Sun/Mon event…two doc appointments for Tuesday, Wednesday is a first day for me to cook.

And, yeah. Well done steaks for wifey. :( Medium well I’ve passed off a few times. No pink in her cuts of beef, or it’s saved for my leftovers. She doesn’t like that strategy….LOL.

Cooking steaks the way I like (medium) and hers well done makes for tricky timing on a grill. It’s the reason we didn’t get a new one, and went with the Big Green Egg option for more low heat and longer times (briskets and such).

Luckily, my two kids like their steaks cooked the same way that I do: medium-rare. Makes for easy timing. :)

    Good morning men!

I was going to wait until tomorrow to shave. It is dreary here on Long Island so what better way to pick me up is for me to get a nice shave.
For me, scent strength is very important on the soap and in the aftershave. Fine fails me in this area. The soap produces a nice creamy lather and that really is the most important aspect of any soap, but the scent is non-existent even when I load the brush. I have another Fine soap and the results are the same. It's why I rarely use Fine.
Two passes with the Mühle R102 gave me a nice near BBS shave without bloodshed. I am very impressed with this razor. I have it dialed in where it really is a pleasure using it. Everything about this razor is excellent. I will be using this razor at least once a month, maybe twice. Lol! Seriously, I am glad this razor is in my den.
Applied the witchhazel, and the aftershave balm to sooth and moisturize my skin to offset the steel touching my face and neck. I have to say that ever since I have frequently added witch hazel to my routine that my skin looks quite awesome. I applied the Fine aftershave to finish the shave. Unfortunately, the scent does not have any sillage for me. I can smell it when I put my hands close to my nose, but it is very light. The scent is clean and masculine, but even if it was strong, it would not be a homerun for me. I know the reviews of Platinum Fine are excellent, but to me, it's a dud. I will use it from time to time because I don't like to waste money, but I will not purchase any Fine products because I don't consider the brand fine for me.
    Have a great Saturday guys!

Well again, I cannot describe How thankful I am, to have all my fellow shave brothers here in the Den. Joseph @Primotenore had also sent in some items to help bring my den back to life again, which was incredibly thoughtful of him I must say. So, again thank you sir! Coincidentally, last night I was watching a Kensurfs video talking about the company "Seaforth". They were a competitor many years ago against shulton old spice and had a variety of different scents, just like old spice. Well I've been browsing on ebay in the past looking at different "Seaforth" products and pretty much every item listed, the contents of the products had long sense been used up. So you can imagine the look on my face as it light up to the surprise of seeing a Seaforth shavemug with soap in it along with an aftershave. This is easily coolest shave unboxing I have done so far hands down! There were a bunch of other goodies in the box he sent. You'll get to see each item here soon whenever I post more shave reports. The polo green was another real treat, as that scent reminds me of my Father.

Proraso Shaving Cream (tube) - Red
    HC Ever Ready
    Enoch V1.0 (-b)
    Schick Proline (2)
    Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly
    Fine AS - American Blend

@Terry inspired shave this morning. Seeing his new acquisition....along with my neck weeper area from yesterday still a bit fresh, made me reach for more of a safety option than a straight razor today. Even though the Enoch has met the wrath of a Dremel (-b notation), it's an easy shaver that gives super smooth results as long as I let the razor's head weight do the work. Any pressure....that's an immediate route to irritation, if not a full blown trip to crimson city.

Brought out a seldom used setup, Proraso Shaving Cream in a tube and the Heritage Collections Ever Ready 200 clone with their high mountain white knot. Still the worst lather hog knot in my collection, even with a tablespoon (probably more) of the Proraso SC in the shaving bowl to start with. I think this brush is headed for a BST extremely soon. Lather was everything you expect from Proraso, slick, rich, absolutely awesome barbershop sandalwood aroma. First pass took a lot of painting to get the lather where I like on the mug. Second pass, so much better, I squeezed all the lather out of the knot and hand applied. Without the safety bar....the Enoch loaded with a Proline shaves scaringly close, leaves the skin with a super squeaky clean feel. Need to try it with one of my slickest soaps to see if I get the same effect. 2.5 passes, WTG, XTG and a little neck/jawline buff, smooth as a catfish belly results. Quick palmful of my favorite after shave gel, PAA's Star Jelly...which has a light menthol addition, definitely apparent after this close shaver. Hefty application of a seldom used barbershop aroma, Fine's American Blend. Ready for a Saturday.

    Hope everyone's day is Great!
