February 27, 2021 iKon B1 OC Gillette 7 O’clock Black Omega Evo Synthetic LEA Shave Soap & Aftershave Swati and I were up and moving pretty early this morning. She insisted on driving us to visit my Mom for the day. I am not sure her driving helped my headaches and dizziness but I didn't tell her that. Going with the iKon, Omega and LEA pretty much guaranteed a fantastic shave and I was not disappointed. I hope everyone had a great Saturday as well.
Paul, I believe there are three things that will cause a cut with any razor and they are: Steep angle of the blade to the face, too much pressure and not stretching. I believe it's the lack of improper stretching that is your main problem, but I am not excluding the too much pressure part of the equation. If you don't stretch the skin properly, then the razor will bunch up the skin forming a mini hill that makes it easier for the razor to cut you. If you are going against the grain on your jawline going from ear to chin, then place your fingers by your ear and pull the skin towards the back of your neck.. Make sure you pull in a straight line. Just stretch enough to give the razor a flat surface so you will not cut yourself. This group has given you similar advice, but you seem to forget it. I would suggest you write my reasons of why you may cut yourself from this post on an index card and tape it on your mirror or bathroom wall so you don't forget to apply these tips.
Glad it went well. It really is a shame what has happened to NYC. With the lack of traffic, I am surprised you didn't visit Pasteur's Pharmacy. I know, you had the young people with you so why put them through a boring session. Lol!
It has been a busy day. Yard work this morning and finished rebuilding a 60 inch mower deck under a John Deere 400 this afternoon. It is back under the tractor and running smoothly. I'm waiting on a 7 inch hose and we will have the power pack on the back picking up leaves. Dave @Dave in KY inspired this shave. I checked in quick this morning and noticed his razor of choice for today so I brought out my polished Rockwell 6S. The Razorock 400 synthetic took care of the Imperial Barber shave soap. I loaded a second run Rockwell blade in the 6S and went for plate 6. Three smooth and drama free passes. A little Witch Hazel followed by some Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger. Now I just need to get caught up but the granddaughter is over and we are making home made pizza. Ya'll hang on and I'll get caught up. Take care gentlemen.
Fine shave Clint! Before I saw this post, I just replied to your shavette - fu saying you didn't have headaches. I am sorry that you had one.
Great shave, busy working around the house and having homemade pizza with your grandaughte. Who has got it better than you Danny? Enjoy the time with your little princess!
Thank you Jeff and Joe. I did have some minor headaches but I do believe the meds reduced the magnitude and duration. I think the meds are still giving me that "I am Buzzed" feeling which honestly is getting a little old.
Thanks, Clint! I haven't completely given up on the gelled boars but I'm getting close. The one I put in the Grizzly Bay handle I set with silicone so it should be easy enough to get out but I don't know how Neil set the knot in the dubl duck. I may be sending it off to you to hang from your kitchen ceiling if I can't get it out. I hope meds settle down for you. Good to hear that they are helping though. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
