Thanks Joe! As we get older, our sense of smell and taste diminishes. With my sinus condition, my sense of smell is somewhat compromised. Their soaps performance is fine (pun intended), but I rate the scent a 1 on a scale of 10. I am not telling you to forgo purchasing a puck, but you have been cautioned. It may be that your sense of smell is better than mine. Bottom line: Fine soaps doesn't do it for me, but it may for you.

Thanks Danny! I am accustomed to using the 1/2 DE blade when using a shavette for my headshaves. These last two headshaves were the first time that I have used the long Personna Hairshaper blades. A weep on the back of the head is no big deal.

Well based on the blend I ordered, it uses "black Cavendish, Burley, and Virginia, as well as mellow vanilla flavors" if your interested, I'll let you know how it goes. The official blend name is "Match: Flying Dutchman"

A nice, relaxed 3 pass shave before dinner earlier this evening. The last shave of the month also marked the end of this particular 1508.5 focus. The Reserve Cool C’est Fini. Scraped out the last of the tub into the lather bowl and the tuxedo made sure there weren’t any remnants left in the jar. This is my preferred ‘end of puck’ method. A very voluminous batch for sure.
Pulled out the Christmas gift 1912 and it did a good job reducing the 36 hours growth. The blade is done though, methinks. I didn’t catch it, but didn’t chase it either. Good results for a Saturday afternoon.
I have had a few focusses this month besides the obvious deep sixing of the Cool. I rotated through 4 other combos on the off days that hadn’t seen enough usage lately. I also got a good chance to dial in he new Karve. Truth be told, it didn’t need any time at all to get a handle of. Instantly one of my faves for sure. Thanks again, @Dave in KY .
No idea yet what I’m doing for March, to be honest, but regardless I will continue to enjoy the camaraderie, wisdom and shenanigans from the fine folks who consider themselves 30DCers.
