It is a personal decision as to whether someone chooses to get vaccinated. I respect both sides of the argument.

I am surprised because I had no problem breaking in my Omega and Stirling boar brushes. If you were a newbie to wetshaving, then I would give you some tips. However, I am just at a loss as to why your knots did not break in for you to enjoy using it.

    February 28

I purchased a sack full of Dorco cart blades and razors a few years ago on sale from the Dorco website. I decided use 'em up by reaching for them more often until they're gone. What remains would last a solid month if I used them exclusively, but I probably won't.

So my last four shaves have been with a Dorco multi-blade cart...in the shower...with Neutrogena shave cream or shampoo applied by hand. Shower shave are entirely by feel (no mirror) and usually take 3-4 passes. Surprisingly, the results have all been very comfortable and near BBS. It's nice to know that if I'm stuck razorless in a Motel 6 on a trip to Walla Walla, Washington that I can still get a great shave with the complimentary razor from the hotel desk. :)

February has been as no focus as it gets for me. I shaved with a Parker SRX, Muhle R41, and a Dorco multi-blade cart. I'm drops away from Deep-Sixing a bottle of CC Bay Rum. I received a very generous PIF from @Hembree that included cookies and a Moon Pie. I'll introduce my new mystery razor in March and my rack once I get it in service. I've had some thoughts about using it for a watch rack instead of a brush rack. :) More to come.

I'm currently de-funking an Omega 40033 boar knot in preparation for the LE brush handle. It is without a doubt one of the stinkiest knots I've ever encountered. The hog must have led a storied life that included very few baths and high adventure. I'm glad we don't have wallpaper in our bathroom. It would have peeled off the first time this knot saw water. Thankfully, my olfactory senses have been diminished as a user of both Clubman and Tabac, or I may not have survived. It'll still take another couple of days of soaking and lathering to get it ready for use. The knot has one dark hair that will remain since Danger is my middle name.

I enjoyed hanging out here with everyone this month. Although @Primotenore is given to yodeling, the rest of you fellers rock!

Great recap Charlie. I enjoy shaving with carts as well. I use them anytime I have to fly with only carryon bags.

Thanks Clint. I've got seven Dorco carts left, and six of them have six blades each. They would definitely make great travel razors if I had someplace to go. :p

I'm glad you're feeling better and getting good rest. I hope you continue to adjust well to your meds. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Stunning photo and equipment Jim. Interesting that riding the bar is a help on th Dart. Didn't try that before moving mine along.........
Still a pretty straight with character. My Pipe Razor is Plain Jane black scales and a gift I hold on to.
Yep, I've read about the adjust ability Jeff and will defintitely play with it. Not going anywhere soon, just on the fence for now. At the moment COOL factor is winning. Thanks for the tip

Wow, that simply is astonishing! I would just let the brush soak for 48 hrs in Dawn.

    Thanks, Dave!

The Dart and the CG LvL3 work much better at a steep angle for me. To a lesser extent the Rex Ambassador and the 2019 Rocnel EliteA. These two will give great shaves either way but are just a smidgen smoother at a steep angle.

No doubt. However, if it was me, just for grins and giggles, then I would use the cold water soak in Dawn and place in fridge for 24 hrs. Rinse and towel dry the brush. Do the same routine for another 24 hrs. Rinse and dry brush. Rewet the brush and load the brush to palm lather. Do it at least 3x. Rinse and dry the brush. Soak it in warm water for another 24 hrs. It should be broken in enough that the brush is ok. After about 10 to 15 uses, then it should be completely broken in. This has been my experience. However, I only own 2 boar brushes.
