Whatever works for you Joe, it's your shave the way you want it I found my next victim and it's a very small one so it should be done before March is over even with limited use. Remnants of cucumber melon honey bee soaps.,...
Most welcome. Overall things are going rather well. Coming down the back stretch of the career with just 16 weeks to go. I had a busy, but expensive weekend between a trip to the ghost town that is now Manhattan and picking up three new phones for the family. Yes, my little man will be receiving his first phone in the near future. He is pretty excited about that. He knows that there will be restrictions.
Terrific shave Jason! Topping the shave with vintage Old Spice is a great touch! That's a great goal! It's not impossible!
Good way to get him to be responsible. As for me, I didn't see until just now that I won the PIF(Joseph's). Solid shave to begin the month, then I see I'm the winner. I know it(that it isn't impossible)...Let's see how far I go .
March Focus Mike's Vetiver~~Culmak 92~~Gillette Tech/Sharp Star~~Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EdP This month, I am going to focus on Mike's Shave Soaps. I will rotate between my Vetiver, Bay Rum and Hungarian Lavender. Today: Vetiver. Stunning soap from a guy that doesn't do frills and fancy labels, just manufactures one of THE BEST shave soaps on the market. The Vetiver is earthy, damp, and pungent. The lather is spectacular. I can't even begin to tell you how much gorgeous goo is in this Culmak knot. Today's Tech is a Pre-War USA Gillette Tech with the day two Sharp Star. While these Russian blades offer superior sharpness and smoothness, longevity is mos def© not their forté. I tossed it after two shaves. I could have forced a third, but it's not worth the effort. If I buff my neck and am still unable to remove everything...time to say: 'Buh-bye blade'. FOTD© It's easy to see that I have worked my way through this bottle over the years. Love the grapefruit opening. It tingles the olfactory senses. Dry down reveals the earthy vetiver; darker than Guerlain. I prefer the TF.
March 1st Micromatic Monday Menthol Monday Razor: GEM Micromatic Blade: GEM Stainless Brush: Rubberset 400 SS & AS: Stirling MITA The lather was awesome. I really love the smell and performance of Stirling MITA. I also really like the Micromatic even though I'm not used to it and have to slow down to get the results I want. Still ended up with a 2 pass DFS. Enjoy your week everyone! It's going to be wonderful I'm sure.
Nice March beginning, Jason. Over the past seven+ years, I have had some Soap Commander soaps. The large tub was, indeed, overwhelming. I 'almost' feel that way about my tub of Santa Maria Novella.
March 1st Razor: Gem Micromatic Blade: Gem PTFE (1) Brush: Zenith boar Pre-shave: PAA Cube Soap: PAA Frost Byte PAA Galactic Witch Hazel PAA Star Jelly AS: PAA Frost Byte Good morning! Marvelous Micromatic Menthol Monday shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. Today is my three year TSD Anniversary. I have learned a lot from the fine members here, both past and present. I consider all of you true friends. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
It truly is a banner day for you Paul! As Eric Latta from Adventures in Wet Shaving says, "Nice, nice, nice." Have a great day Maestro! Super shave Evan! Enjoy your day! Marvelous Menthol Micromatic Monday shave Jim! Happy TSD Anniversary!
I lasted over 3 years, Dave, and believe me I said plenty of stupid things along the way. @wristwatchb and @BaylorGator made it their personal goal to get me a CT just over a year ago. It might have been soon after I asked which one of them was George and which one was Lenny... #1 scent? High praise indeed, Dave. Is it a dupe of that Prada, or just 'within range'? The MMOC is a good shaver, no question. I just don't seem to reach for mine. Happy TSD Anniversary, Jim! Honestly can't envision the place without you. Only you could participate in something as pedestrian as Micromatic Monday and show off a shiny, pristine razor...we are not worthy. Nice menthol Monday as well.
Beautiful shave, Jim. Happy Anniversary! I've read enough of @Dave in KY's posts to know that it shouldn't take too much longer for him to earn a CT. He has all the usual symptoms of foot-in-mouth disease. It's nice to see @BaylorGator. It's a busy time of year for movers and shakers in the frozen treats industry. Not many men can stand tall under the rigors of being a Mint Chocolate Chip Mogul. Anyway, I'm glad he could work us in between golf outings at Mar-A-Lago.
