So I own a Gillette Super Adjustable 109. I am considering getting it revamped/restored whatever the correct term. My only concern is the adjustment handle appears to have a small hole in it (picture below) Is this something that can be fixed? Any recommendations on where to send it in for the work? Thanks...
I'd mix the tiniest bit of 2 part epoxy, and apply with a toothpick. After it sets up a bit press a blade edge in the corresponding grooves to engrave the lines. What I'd do anyway, ymmv.
I'd also use epoxy. My choice would be J-B Weld as it dries almost black, more of a dark grey. But it can afterwards be touched up with paint if needed.
I've successfully added a couple drops of black acrylic paint to the mixture... dried black enough for me.
I've also added paint to epoxy, it works fine. Just takes a little longer to dry. Forgot to mention that, but glad what you did worked out.
I've had more than a few of these - pretty common with aluminum handles I'll have to try the epoxy. Usually I just look for a replacement.

Thanks. Wasn't sure. I thought he said the BB's were aluminum inside and more prone to corrosion. Herm
Black parts are anodised alumium, there is not much one can do with them. Don't get me wrong, but getting a new Super adjustable would be most likely cheaper than a revamp.
