  1. Usually I don’t shave everyday but sense I’ve been only doing 2 pass shaves this week I’ve needed to shave every day as opposed to every other day when doing a 3 pass shave. I’m on my 4th use on this shark blade, and I think this blade has more life to it, which mean this is an excellent blade in my eyes. Really nice and sharp. I used the vintage seaforth shave soap and mug with the boar brush Joseph sent me. Built up an awesome slick, thick lather much like the lather I got from my old spice pucks, if not better. Put the Slim on setting 5 when I went with and across grain around my face, when I got to my neck I kept it on setting 5 going with the grain, I dropped it down to setting 2 when I went cross grain. Ended the shave with vintage old spice aftershave and cologne as well. Post shave from the seaforth shave soap was excellent as well. No need for the alum today. Finally before leaving the bathroom I applied some “Mario Badescu” nourishing serum. This stuff works as a great skin hydrator without leaving a greasy film. hope everyone has a great day! had my ortho appointment today, one more appointment and these braces are coming off my teeth.

  8. I've been shaving my head with various safety razors for almost 7 years. It's just this particular razor that's new. I don't go ATG. I do a single pass, buffing while I go. WTG only with some razors, XTG with others. I've been using the Blackbird XTG.
  9. In general, the same thing I thought about Razorock Tight Buns (it's predecessor) a few years ago. You know what you're getting with Razorock performance. It's good, not great, at a budget price. The scent is nice, just far too light for my preference.
  10. Super shave Myles!

  11. I also noticed this a few days ago, all my old spice sets I’ve ever had, including the ones that got tossed when I lost half my shave den, were American sets. All the cologne bottles from the 50s-70s had the word “cologne for men” but the bottle you see on the right just says “cologne”. on the back of this bottle type it says “splash on after after showering or sprinkle a few drops in your hand and apply as a deodorant or an after shave lotion” this was typically seen on all bottles during the 50-60s (both bottles are form the 60s) but the bottle on the right does not have that write up, in fact it is missing.
Also another thing I noticed was the detailing on the box packaging. All the American gift sets had the ship colored in black as seen on the box on the left. But the box on the right has a reflective, silver/chrome look to the ship on the box. So after looking at all these small details, I’m wondering if the silver looking set I got here, is a Canadian market set.

  13. March 2nd

    Razor: '47 Aristocrat
    Blade: Astra Superior Stainless
    Brush: Chubby 2 Clone
    SS & AS Stirling Piacenza

I'm going to actually attempt a 30DC... except on weekends, weekdays, or when I'm bored. ;) And I'm using Stirling soaps not just one scent.

Great shave! I love the Piacenza scent.
