Love the shave lineup Joseph. You've inspired me to dig out my RV Rover brush.

Thank you Jason. When I first found the shaving forums in 2014, the Tradere was gone. At that time, Above the Tie, iKon and Feather were the SS razors to pick from.

Interesting name, given the lack of Oud (synthetic or natural) in the notes. Perhaps trying to capitalize on the allure of Oud? That little Rover handle is so cool looking as well, Joseph.

Lovely shave with a stellar kit, Andrew. I also liked Mike’s Hungarian Lavender when I first acquired it a couple of years ago, but it rarely gets used these days. As THE resident oldest fart on the crew, I can say that my life had its ups and downs, but what I learned is that we leave each valley and each height a bit wiser for the experience. I’ve survived war, malignant bone cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, the death of my high school sweetheart, and now I’m dealing with Parkinson’s, which I know will be my final struggle. I’ve moved through it all always knowing that my God has been and is a very present help. We all go through rough times, but the emphasis is through! I always wake up every morning grateful for the gift of a new day! You’ll get through this and be the better for it!

Thanks Jason! I do like the Rockwell blades because they are smooth and efficient for me. However, they are 15 cents a blade and I think they should be 12 cents instead. I know, why quibble over 3 cents. Lol! I will eventually try other DE blades once my Rockwell blades are gone. Would I buy Rockwell blades again. Yes, if they would sell them by the tuck, instead of just a 20 tuck box. I like Feathers, but getting 3 or 4 shaves on a 40 cent blade doesn't make sense to me. I may buy a tuck or two as a treat, but I could spend my money on other things. I probably will try the Astra blades and maybe Gillettes. However, as a straight shaver, DE blades are not a priority for me.

Wonderful tribute shave Joe. Was your mother a fan of baked goods with an almond scent or flavoring?

Fabulous post and shave lineup Andrew. You have a table full of winners. I recall the Army Chaplain telling us the rewards don't go to the strongest, bravest, fastest or smartest. The rewards go to the dumb SOB in the back that is too stupid to quit. I thought that was pretty crazy at the time but through life I have found that most people will give up and quit trying. Just keep your faith and keep putting one foot in front of the other. God will carry out his plans. We just have to be there and accept them.

    Thank you, Jason and Joe!
Breakfast was delicious. Two thumbs up from the wife. Cooking on the flattop is so much fun I wish I would have got one a long time ago.
Oh and we didn't have jalapeno but we did have Serrano's. Spicy!

Thanks Joe! My mother was an average cook and she was not a baker. However, she did make a great sauce. I was going to use the Stirling Glastonbury setup, but I felt a British themed soap was not appropriate to use to honor my mom. Therefore, I went with the Italian Cella soap and Piacenza. Also, the Omega brush is an Italian made product as well. Unfortunately, I don't have an Italian straight razor like a Mastro Livi. However, his exorbitantly priced straight razors are out of my league and his craftsmanship has recently gone down.
