Wonderful shave Dave. I have a few samples of Hub City as well, Pipe Smoke and Red Cabin in the Woods. I have only tried the Pipe Smoke which is very nice. I am looking forward to shave with the RCITW soon.

Happy Thursday Everyone. Following the doctor's orders I double up on the preventive meds last night. Thankfully the dizziness has not doubled up. If fact until a few minutes ago it was much better. I really enjoy the La Toja shave cream and the MrEE brush did a wonderful job face lathering. Back with the DS-A2 for today's shave. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. I just did not do a good job buffing my neck. It's still a great shave and I can live with that. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

    Razor: Dovo Best
    Brush: Jack Skully
Lather: Loose Screw Uncomfortably Numb (1508.5)
    Aftershave: Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Day 3 of the Dovo Mini-Focus. As with the previous two shaves with this razor, the same consistent results. Super smooth and comfortable shave. I did manage a slick nick on my upper lip as for a moment and whatever reason the blade seemed to get stuck. It took a few dabs of the stick and a tissue to eventually get it to stop. Other than that, it was an awesome shave.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

I'm glad to hear the meds are working, Clint. The Feather razor and the MrEE brush make a fine looking set. I hope your day is a good one.

I'll do my best on the reviews...Each product is special in its own unique way. As for the hot water returning, let me just say this: AWWWWWRIIIIGHT.

Guys I just do not know what to think about this razor. Part of me loves this razor and part of me is having fits with this razor.

There was no arguing about the lather this morning. I believe you could point the T3 in the direction of the soap and it would do the rest. Awesome lather builder.

I just cannot find the sweet spot of this razor if it has one. I rode the cap this morning for three smooth passes. Second run with the Astra SP. This razor is deceptively smooth. I mean it has a large amount of blade exposure but hardly any if no blade feel. It reminds me of a B solid bar Karve plate....it is that smooth. The alum was a little better this morning but still warm and a hot spot on the lower part of my neck area. I have never had one instance where I felt the razor was going to bite. It feels like a razor on auto pilot till the alum is applied. I think the razor is removing a little epidermis and my face feels a little on the raw side. I think I will park the Nodachi for a few days and then pick it back up. I'm telling you guys if I can get the alum to quiet down this would be an amazing razor.

Any suggestions on taming this sweet beast would be greatly appreciated. I am applying hardly any pressure...just letting the weight of the razor rest on my face. I may remove the Nodachi handle, add a nylon washer and try a lighter handle. The Nodachi is right at 4 ounces. The Hawk V3 OC with the RR bulldog handle is 3.5 ounces for comparison. The bulldog handle is about a 1/4 of an inch shorter.

A little witch hazel followed by American Tobacco by Andy Hilfiger finished the shave.

Take care gentlemen and I hope you day is great.

When soap checks all the appropriate boxes, it's a snap to stay focussed with it.
    Mike's Vetiver does exactly that.
    Ease of lathering
    Stability of lather
    Slickness
    Protection
    Post-shave
    All there and more.
The razor blade was one of the last Astra SP's in my blade stash, and by the look of the tuck,
it's showing its age. Nevertheless, inserted in the RR GC, the team proved formidable.
Got very close to a BBS on my neck, which, for me, is quite an accomplishment.
Finished with a repeat WTG pass for extra smooooooooothness.
Usual post-shave routine, Witch Hazel and Proraso ASB.

This is another scent from Rasasi, based in the U.A.E.
The scent reminds most people of Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather.
Having never sampled the more expensive TF, I can neither conform nor deny.
It is, however, a very intriguing and luscious scent.

Some owners are complaining that certain batches' longevity are weaker than previous ones,
    but again, I don't know...yet.
Honestly, I don't need a scent to last 12-14 hours. If I want to make a scent last,
I apply it to my clothes. Today, La Yuqawan was applied only to my skin.
