    That is a very informative review of the razor, Danny. I don't really have any advice per se, but do agree that putting it down for a few days and then giving it another run sounds like a good idea. Are you solely basing your irritation opinion on the alum? How does your face feel afterwards?

    Very nice, Barry. Interesting that your English Leather is clear. Mine is the MIM version and is mos def an amber colour.

    Good morning!

    Wonderful shave to start the day! Four passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. Added a fourth and final pass going with the grain. There was nothing left to remove but there is the added benefit of prolonging the shave.

    Put the safety bar baseplate on the Blackbird for this morning's shave. I have a few razors with both the OC and SB baseplates. The Blackbird is the only one that I find a pronounced difference in blade feel (the Timeless Bronze doesn't count). The SB feels like an easy mindless razor whereas the OC baseplate gets and keeps my attention.
