    Thank you Myles. I can not take credit for the handle as the razor belongs to Bill, @Edison Carter. He has loaned it to me in a pass around to check out his honing method and my thoughts regarding such. I have received six fantastic shaves. Now it is time for the razor to go back to Papa.

    We were out of town today and I stopped by a little antique store on the way home.

    Interesting little scores today.

    1938 to 1941 Old Spice stoneware bottle. I understand this is the first style of their bottles. This is the only one I have ever seen in person.

    I also picked up a Blue Tip. It should clean up nice. I got a old puck of Colgate throwed in at no charge.

    My wife is out of the hospital.
    She doesn't have much energy.
    But she is on the mend.
    Thanks for all of the prayers and well wishes.
    This group of misfits are the greatest.
    I mean that from my heart.

    If you haven't noticed I'm using razors that have no safety bars.
    Some removed, some design that way.
    I also have a taste for feather blades.
    New feather blades, I'm a one and done with the blades.
    I've been using a newer razor,
    a BBNY&Co DOUBLE EDGE STRAIGHT RAZOR Model X.
    I have been using it for about 5 or 6 shaves.
    It's a good razor, an efficient tool that some would label aggressive.
    I have to admit it's not a clean a cutter as the DEvette.

    I have been using the model X enough to figure it out.
    The head is built like a standard DE razor, but without the safety bar.
    This means you can only lower the angle till the head lifts the blade off the skin.
    The DEvette has no such issues.
    This mornings shave was started out with the model X, but ended with the brass DEvette.
    Having to do 2 passes with the model X to get where 1 pass with the DEvette.
    I did the normal passes on the mug with X.
    Just for quuriosity I did a single North South pass with the DEvette.
    I got a noticeable cleaner shave.
    So....
    I put the model X down, and did the head shave with the DEvette.
    Nice!!.
    Now there is nothing at all wrong with the model X.
    Most would get a fantastic shave with it.
    Me... I get wonderful, nothing compares with, shaves with the All brass DEvette.

    But I have another model X on the way.
    It's a great razor.
    I could be happy with it, might use it as a travel razor.

    I have my wife and my oldest grandson here the next few days.
    One's in quarantine, the other is, as I said, recovering from covid.
    He'll be 9 in a few days.
    Spong Bob is finally getting second billing.
