A guy from "down under" posted a thread on a rival forum, stating that his experience
with vintage Old Spice shave soap was awful.
That thread inspired today's shave.
You can't tell me that this lather isn't exquisite.
Voilà:

This was from a brand new puck (brand new...that's a laugh)
Better stated: never before used.
Rich, dense, slick and still retaining that classic OS scent.
The razor was my just-returned from PA (thank you, @Edison Carter ) 2011 Mühle R41.
Just had to re-acquaint myself with this beast. Opened a new Polish Polsilver.
Double-wrapped AND friggin glue-dots!

I composed myself, took some deep breaths and found my chi.
More aggressive and blade-forward than my shave yesterday with the dd Goldedge.
Didn't chase the baby, especially on the neck and was rewarded with an irritation-free
DFS++ shave.
Called an audible and eschewed the Old Spice AS (NOS, couldn't bring myself to use it,
so back in the box it went), in favor of some original formulation Christian Dior Homme.

Primo’s overly loved shave gear is always welcome in this part of Pennsyltucky for a therapeutic all inclusive resort vacation.

 

This morning(Pi Day-3/14), I came back to yesterday's choices. I forgot to hold the Barbasol under the tap water as the latter was coming down. Didn't make THAT much of a difference, though. Again I made sure to spend a little extra time manually spreading the cream around my face&neck, to get good lather. Solid astroturf action all around. I also made sure to once again spend extra time on areas that weren't doing well the first time around. No cuts/Knicks. One pass. Yardley(New York)for the close. Nice job(if I do say so yourself). Outta This World Excellent. Back to soaps now for a few days.

 

What happened to B(alti)mo(re)...or is that where you grew up?

Marvelous shave Barry! I like Cella also. Paul Humphrey, a famous Welsh you - tuber, used the same Bakewell tart reference for the almond/cherry scent.
I don't know if you have the Razorock Classic soap, but it has the same scent as Cella. However, it is not as strong as Cella. Have a great afternoon.
