Sunday's Shave

Being that today is 3/14 (Pi Day), I had no choice but to use my JR 314 Cocobolo wood badger brush. Excellent craftsmanship from a great guy!
It was an early morning, relaxing, two pass shave that resulted in no irritation or mishaps. The second use of the Bic blade was just as good as the first.
The (new to me) ACdNIM EdT has already dried down to an excellent scent that I am looking forward to catching whiffs throughout the day.
Wonderful shave to start the day off on the right foot...

I'm really glad you like the handle, Clint. My BlueMonster started out a very dark, almost purple color too and then faded into a rich blue. I'm confident that will happen here too. Also, the anodizing develops a hazy film on it at first. You can clean that off with any non-abrasive polish. You can polish off the color if you use anything abrasive, so be careful. If you do have issues, I can strip and anodize it again as long as I can get the knot out, but that really shouldn't be needed. Enjoy!

Did a 2 pass shave for a BBS shave, but got a weep on my neck. It was operator error because the handle wasn't properly closed so the blade was not fixed in position. I guess when I put the blade in the razor I didn't sufficiently tighten it. However, I corrected it to finish the shave. I did videod my headshave with a shavette today so you guys can see it later this evening. Did cut myself 2x, but they were not bad cuts. The styptic pencil eradicated them. Glad you're doing well Jeff. Not having a stroke is good. I admit that's setting the "good day" bar pretty low, but I'll take it if you will. I ended up in the ER last week with a migraine, my first ever. All I knew was suddenly I couldn't see, which had never happened to me before. The Dr did all the cognitive tests, which I passed surprisingly. Then they offered me IV meds for the pain, which hadn't even started yet. Thankfully, it never got that bad. I don't like the high, disconnected, out-of-control feeling.

Very nice Pierpaolo. I hear comparing brushes is contagious. Way to go. So many of us have a hard time picking the next item to purchase. Thanks for doing us a service!

That snowstorm hit us yesterday, but we only got about 2 inches at my house. I had to clear the snow off my truck to get to the post office. The things I do for 30DC. Have a great week.

I love the blue color Evan. I just wipe things down with a micro fiber cloth after using them. Other than the unfinished aluminum brushes, I don't use any polish on them. I will make sure I am careful and don't polish of this gorgeous color.
