    Hembree Not as pretty smelling

    Jason, the razor head is Zamac and the handle is aluminum. Basically I had to file the tang around the post on the top cap to allow the blade to line up and set on the post on the bottom cap. The blade will lock into alignment on the bottom cap. The head now floats and I align the top cap and then tighten the handle down. It appears to me that Yaqi cast the threaded post round and then machines the squared area onto the threaded post. It looks like their alignment was off in the fixture. Then they plate the parts. I don't have any pics of my fix....the razor is at the house. Before pics below.


    Bottom plate.....alignment correct. Bottom three pics are of the top plate.

    Thank you Jason. I absolutely love this brush. I did notice the sale on IB. Mark also tempted me with some Moe brushes in the Paladin drop last night but I resisted the temptation.

    Yeah, I just came in for a break from shoveling. Had another couple of inches fall through the night. Got that cleaned up and finished all that I'm going to do in the driveway. Just need to clear the lower part of the driveway to get out to the street. I'm running out of room to pile snow.

    Nice shave, Clint! It was nice to come home to Evan’s handle! I’m still waiting for the arrival of some knots, two Badger from the Golden Nib and one synth from APshave. I’ll decide which knot to use upon their arrival. Enjoy your day! I’ve been asked to teach two seminars, which I foolishly agreed to. They start Wednesday, and I’ll be getting them ready today and tomorrow! Yeesh, it’ll almost feel like work again! ;)
