Schick C2 Repeating Razor Personna PTFE Blade Surrey Boar Brush Viking Revolution Clary Sage Shave Cream Dickinson's Witch Hazel w/Egyptian Musk Shulton Old Spice After Shave
I owe a big thanks to @mayer57619 and @twhite for today's fantastic shave. These are some of the most beautiful razors. One Old one New but they share a common and uncommon beauty. Common to each other but uncommon in the razor world. I love the mixture of materials and the engraved lines in the springs. As well as the rivets holding the springs in place. The two razors have a very different feel in the hand as well as the blade feel while shaving. However both razors shaved very well. I feel very lucky to be trusted to have them on loan. They are both remarkable razors.
Fri 19th March Jayaruh Syn. No67 MWF ER Streamline Gem S/S [ 4 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion My 3rd fresh puck of soap this week. The new MWF poses no problems as produces the usual abundant lather in seconds - feel sorry for those who cannot get it to work as it is good for a Shave, and the skin afterwards feels good. Not to sure which Razor to use next as I am reducing the amount of Razors to be used in my Vintage / SE rotation. I actually passed on some of my real old ones after I had tried them out, even a Kampfe Bros and Damaskeene as found them a bit mild.
I'm curious if water quality is a factor in weather MWF lathers well. I have very hard water and have trouble with certain soaps. Many soaps lather fairly well for me but aren't as slick as I would think they should be from other people's descriptions. Do you know if you have hard or soft water?
Friday's Lather Catcher Shave Cold Water Rinse Morning TOST Jayaruh #419 2-band Badger J.A. Henckels Rapide J.A. Henckels Wedge CWR Granddad's Blend AS The Morning TOST Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #419 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher razor with a J.A. Henckels Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hmmm. Well I have an appointment to get my water softener fixed Tuesday so hopefully I see a difference once it's fixed.
Saturday 20th March Canadian Schick E3 NOS UK Personna Super Stainless Platinum Coated #1 The NOS Personna blades I used in the E3 were a generous gift from Mike @MPF9. They were sharp, smooth, and performed brilliantly.
Sat 20th March Stirling Syn. 26mm P & B Spitfire Gem Junior 1912 Gem S/S [ 1 ] P & B Spitfire A/S Splash For some unknown reason I have neglected this Razor, which apart from a Bathroom set is probably my best 1912. Considering that the blade is fresh, the Shave was smooth and comfortable with a nice close all round finish. This is definitely one for inclusion in future Vintage/SE rotations from which a few Razors will be excluded as though good to look at do not shave well for me.
