Oh boy, just what you need Clint. I hope the reaction subsides quickly. How does SWATI/SWMBO feel about you having some coffee. Am I correct that I read in your earlier post that you need to cut the coffee out?

Believe it or not, when you have such a reaction (this all according to Dr. Mrs. Primo), the body is really building strong T-Cells to protect you. You'll feel better soon.

    Czech & Speake No.88~~Simpson PL8~~Heljestrand MK32~~YSL M7 Oud Absolu
The C&S No.88 is probably the most unusual scented soap in my den---and
anything I have ever used before. There is nothing else like it.
Add that to the fact that it is a Valobra-made soap, you have a top-notch product,
sadly discontinued, and from what I have been reading, the re-launch formula
    looks not very promising.
The Polo feels great in the hand and the knot feels sublime on the face.
The edge of the Swedish Heljestand could probably use a refreshing.
I got a great shave, but perhaps had to work a bit too hard to achieve it.
Sticking with Oud and today's FOTD® could be called a flanker of
    yesterday's YSL M7 (2002).

Flankers, most of the time, contain similar DNA to their originals, but in the case of
YSL Oud Absolu, I would go so far as to say that this juice is a close copy of the
    vaunted M7.
    They are that similar.

SOTD FRIDAY MORNING, MARCH 19, 2021

Today’s shave featured my R. Saito SK3 7/8 and the silver plated Valet Autostrop Model VB2. Unlike many in this hobby, I don’t own all that many brushes. In fact the only makers of whom I own more than one brush are TSD’s @Jayaruh and @MrEE. I no longer own any horsehair brushes, and of late am beginning to move from my preferred boars to synthetics which have improved remarkably in recent years. The little low end Rooney badger brush used in today’s shave is one of only two badgers that I use regularly. It possesses awesome backbone and just enough scritch for the kind of face lathering I enjoy. The three pass mug shave itself was uneventfully great! The little R. Saito with its smiling silver steel blade holds a great edge and seems perfectly designed for those hollows and crevices under the jaw. This morning it effortlessly whisked away my mug stubble. The following two pass ATG dome shave was excellent as well. The Valet Autostrop VB2, while not quite as good as my preferred VC4 with its safety bar, still delivered a noggin shave that put the baby to bed. I feel clean, refreshed and velveteen smooth.

RAZOR: R. Saito SK3 7/8 (Mug), Valet Autostrop Model VB2
    BLADE: Feather FAS-10
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Rooney Ebony Pure Badger
    CREAM: Castle Forbes Lime
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Royall Lyme AS/Cologne.

This morning, I completed the "back nine" of my Central Texas Soaps' Weekend-Rodeo stint. 0:25 to load the Stoylin Pro-Handle(26 mm)brush. I made sure to "redo" the left cheek area in some areas(this is the first place I put the soap, thus the most wet, so it needs the "re-doing"). Everywhere else was fine. Light redness at NW Porcupine. No damage done, with the aftershave and cold-water rinse. Good solid administering of said aftershave, all around. Good work down at Cactus. I suppose I need to work a little more at the area right next to the ingrown hairs at NW Cactus, or else more hairs would be added to the "ingrown" population. Quite pleased at the end. This one gets an Outta This World Excellent.

Thank you Dave...maybe shaving for me is becoming more of a "pleasant hobby" than a "chore".

Great shave, Terry! looking forward to your joining the ranks of the vaccinated. The bride and I had our second Moderna jab on Tuesday, March 9th. So this coming Tuesday we’ll be fully resistant.

I hope the side effects diminish today. I am supposed to limit my coffee consumption to 1 cup per day. SWMBO and I are in heated discussions on the size of the cup. I am currently at 16oz and holding.

Wonderful shave report and photos Joseph. I read that Czech & Speake soaps will be coming back with a new soap formula. I hope its better than most reformulations.

Fantastic shave report and photo Jeff. The SR looks beautiful.

Sorry about the reaction, but welcome to the ranks of the vaccinated. This coming Tuesday will Mark two weeks from our second Moderna. So I guess we’ll be fully resistant to the virus. Lauren was fine for the first, but was knocked for a loop on the second. I didn’t experience any side effects.

Happy Friday Everyone. A Fat Friday shave was just the ticket this morning. I am not sure the shower and shave diminished the vaccine side effects but they certainly improved my outlook on the day ahead. The Paladin loaded and lathered the Fat with ease. Three passes ended in a near BBS which is more than good enough for the day. A splash of Grand Bay Rum aftershave had me almost feeling human again. I hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday.
