I owe a big thanks to @mayer57619 and @twhite for today's fantastic shave. These are some of the most beautiful razors. One Old one New but they share a common and uncommon beauty. Common to each other but uncommon in the razor world. I love the mixture of materials and the engraved lines in the springs. As well as the rivets holding the springs in place. The two razors have a very different feel in the hand as well as the blade feel while shaving. However both razors shaved very well. I feel very lucky to be trusted to have them on loan. They are both remarkable razors.

My 3rd fresh puck of soap this week. The new MWF poses no problems as produces the usual abundant lather in seconds - feel sorry for those who cannot get it to work as it is good for a Shave, and the skin afterwards feels good. Not to sure which Razor to use next as I am reducing the amount of Razors to be used in my Vintage / SE rotation. I actually passed on some of my real old ones after I had tried them out, even a Kampfe Bros and Damaskeene as found them a bit mild.

I'm curious if water quality is a factor in weather MWF lathers well. I have very hard water and have trouble with certain soaps. Many soaps lather fairly well for me but aren't as slick as I would think they should be from other people's descriptions.
Do you know if you have hard or soft water?

The Morning TOST Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #419 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher razor with a J.A. Henckels Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hmmm. Well I have an appointment to get my water softener fixed Tuesday so hopefully I see a difference once it's fixed.

The NOS Personna blades I used in the E3 were a generous gift from Mike @MPF9. They were sharp, smooth, and performed brilliantly.

For some unknown reason I have neglected this Razor, which apart from a Bathroom set is probably my best 1912. Considering that the blade is fresh, the Shave was smooth and comfortable with a nice close all round finish. This is definitely one for inclusion in future Vintage/SE rotations from which a few Razors will be excluded as though good to look at do not shave well for me.
