Happy Saturday everyone. A couple of new pieces of hardware taking their maiden voyage today. I continue to add to my Yates razor collection with the M Hybrid plate. This is basically the M plate made in brass with dual combs. I ordered the Maggard 70/30 mixed knot when I ordered the SHD for the MrEE LE brush. I installed the knot in a PAA ShaveRite 210 handle. Even after multiple cleanings I still picked up some funk this morning while face lathering. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free near BBS. A splash of Grand Bay Rum aftershave and I think I am ready for the day ahead. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

My SynBad knot finally arrived yesterday, and I fitted it to Evan’s handle. I’ll be taking it for a spin tomorrow morning with the new Creazzi razor!

Great shave, Clint! It’s a blessing to be a nasal barbarian! I have the same knot and have used it for almost six months in my Alpha Shaving T-400 handle since it arrived! I never noticed any funk! Sometimes it pays to have an unsophisticated olfactory receptor! ;)

    Razor: Blackland Vector OC
    Blade: Schick Proline (2)
Brush: MrEE LE #008/Simpson Sovereign synthetic
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: A&E St. Barts
    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
    PAA Star Jelly
    AS: A&E St. Barts

    Good morning!

I noticed yesterday that my fresh Proline Blade felt just a bit tuggy. By pass three today it was really tuggy. I ended with my usual near BBS shave with warmer than usual alum along my left jawline. Fresh blade will get loaded up for tomorrow.

    Have a great day!

Thank you Jeff. I will soak the knot in some warm water and oxiclean this afternoon. That should eliminate the funk.
