    Hot wash w/Neutrogena Invigorating FW
    Proraso Preshave
    C. O. Bigelow
    Razorock Monster, Dollar Tree bowl
Col. Conk w/Gillette Trac II Plus (2)
    Four passes, buffing
    Cold rinse
    Alum
    Thayer's Witch Hazel
    Neutrogena Triple Protect Face Lotion
    Aqua Velva Classic Iced Blue

I don't usually get a good shave with this razor, but I decided to try it for a week before I get rid of it. No nicks or bleeders, but not quite as close as I like.

Thanks, Ron, it’s extremely well-made. My son is a student of Victor’s work (he’s a bladesmith with his own forge). He believes that the pattern-welded ‘fancy razors’ he makes using his own SanMai technique are unique in that he not only makes his own Damascus from scratch, but welds a piece of 1095 steel to his Damascus billet to form the cutting edge. There are other razor makers out there who use Damascus steel in their razors, but usually buy the billet elsewhere. Less than one or two make their own. Victor’s attention to detail is amazing!

    Razor : techmatic
    Brush: ever ready reknot
    Soap: soap of the gods.
    Post: medicated witch hazel
    A/s : pinaud special reserve

Good shave overall. The soap is slick but unfortunately after a couple of years this sample lost its scent. But the soap still performed well. When you are use to using a de mostly, it takes a couple of shaves to remember how to use the techmatic.
