I've enjoyed this project a lot. And I'm looking forward to the 30DC LE. Because we all need MORE brushes.

 

O.K. Gentlemen.....honest opinions are needed and my feeling will not be hurt if they are negative. I know these handles are not for everyone but with the right razor I think they will look great. They have that industrial vibe to them. They are bored with a 1 inch forester bit and the final hole is a tad under 1 inch. Bore is 1/2 deep. Hopefully the knot I have coming in will fit.

The material is 1 1/4 inch Delrin finished with Scotch Bright. Two are about 3 inches long and two are about 2 3/4 inches long.

 

I appreciate minimilist designs. What type of knots are you going to use?

 

I have three solid black synthetic knots coming in. One is for Evan's #011. I'm thinking solid black but a Cashmere knot might look good. What is your thoughts?

That's not a wood lathe! I really like where you're heading with this.

The industrial look seems really popular. We really won't know until you start posting SOTD photos with it. People are quick to respond when they like something. When they don't, crickets.

I'd be willing to trade for one. Would you take a knurled aluminum handle in trade? I may even invest in a black dye...

You don't owe me nothing. You have been beyond gracious with your handles. Let me get my knots in and see how the 24mm fits. I'll set one back for you. Sounds like I may need to order more stock.

I really like working with the Delrin. Machines real nice and it is a durable material.

To be honest, before I read this comment and saw the pics, I was thinking a cashmere knot would go great with it because of the color contrast. I think the black knot might make it too austere. Another alternative would be a boar knot. However, if I was purchasing it for myself, then I would go with the cashmere.
