I'm wavering. I've had the new Stirling SS razor in my cart twice now. I've talked myself down both times. Hopefully they'll sell out quickly to remove the temptation. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
Well, I made it over one month since committing, and two months since the beginning of the year. Did some decanting projects and took up face lathering to keep myself shave occupied. My next goal is to make it to six months. July 1 seems so far away..... Or, does June 1 qualify as "six months", kind of like how centuries work?
Still in for no new shaving purchases….so far I’ve redirected the retail therapy towards my 23 year old Ford truck, and some cooking appliances/goodies. I’m thoroughly enjoying the new technology in the truck, it’s almost the same (better, IMO) as what I’d have if buying new (no car payment either ). And…the family is loving the new menu items from the griddle and accessories.
I'm down to 39 blades left so I might be out for the first time since 2019. I last purchased blades in 2015. But, I'm also shopping for a synthetic travel brush and some creme for travel, so I definitely will be out. I may have just enough soap left to make it through 2021.
Definitely out with 4 tubes of Proraso Creme, a new Fendrehan synthetic and and ATT Windsor SSM1 mild bar razor. I should be set for a few more years - at least as far as hardware - soap...maybe not.
Sigh, so many temptations but I'm holding strong. With over 75 razors and a ton of other stuff, I just go shopping in my cabinet
I’m still going. Haven’t bought anything since 2015...... I went crazy my first year and still working through it. I thought I would need blades but found a 100 pack in back of cabinet.
It is marketed as an aggressive razor with a standard plate and a hyper aggressive plate. It really looks like a nice razor. I saw IAMCDB on youtube use it. He is a Stirling fanboy. If you do decide to purchase it, then it would be understandable. BTW, I heard that Rod only made a limited number and will not be making anymore. Tick tock, tick tock! Have a great evening Jim!
