Razor : Schick Type F Injector
    Blade : Schick (?)
    Brush: Graydog Quilt
    Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch Rasierseife Tallow
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: CHH Tobacco
    Fragrance: John Varvatos Dark Rebel

Just a fabulous shave today with the Type F and Haslinger Tallow formula Soap. Topped with a Ken aka Fluffy, gifted aftershave that I keep trying to buy a case of but can't complete an order whenever I find a new shop with it. Can't find it in the states...........Bigger problems in life than this though. Have a great day Shavers !!

Thank you Joe...I've never tried the Arko tub yet, i don't have a problem with it's scent either, but soap scent's must be one of the most subjective items in the traditional wet shaving world. Arko for me provides a good slick protective lather. As for the Omega Pro 49 yeah it does lose a few bristles from time to time, but i love the knot & the 48 pro too. Omega's have the best knots, and Semogues have the better Handles, it would be nice to have a "Omegasemogue" hybrid..I assume someone has made one...Enjoy your day.

    Razor: Double Duck Goldenedge
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Malle Burl
    Lather: Tim’s Soap Busta’s Blend
    Aftershave: Pinuad Citrus Musk
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Fabulous shave with a not often used soap. Unfortunately, this artisan soap is no longer available. It has a very nice citrus-wood scent which includes some lemongrass. It pairs very nicely with the AV Musk. Three passes with my other Double Duck razor has left my face smooth and refreshed without any irritation.

The week is quickly winding to a close. I have my final observation today. I told my department chairperson that I am going to bring in a beach chair to sit in while I put my feet up on the desk. :happy069:
    Have a great day gentlemen.

Beautiful shave summary, Bill! I'm glad you like your Gustave LaLune. I agree that the Feather Super is the king of sharp, but I was amazed at the edge I received on my new razor from Victor Creazzi. It effortlessly passed your styrofoam test. My focus is to use a series of pasted strops to maintain it. Honestly, don't tell anyone, but the edge was superior to anything I've received from any professional honemeisters to date, and that includes someone we both know who's not a big fan of convex hones. :D

    La Toja
    Shave Cream & Aftershave

Happy Thursday everyone. This week is going by very quickly. While I am sticking with the Pils over the next few days, I pulled out the Omega Roma Colosseum Synthetic brush. The brush is very similar in size to the Simpson Trafalgar T3. I will put the measurements of each later in the week but I wanted to use the brush first. The Roma did a wonderful job face lathering the La Toja shave cream. I found the brush easy to splay with soft tips and very good backbone. Again very similar to the T3 which is a good thing in my book. I will give a more detailed comparison of the two after using the Roma a couple more days. The shave was a drama free BBS. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Your F Type is in nice shape, Dave. Mine literally has been through a war before it was repaired by our @twhite. It's now a good solid shaver. Great shave photos and summary.

    Razor: Blackland Vector SB
    Blade: Feather Professional (5)
    Brush: Grizzly Bay RootBeer/Synbad
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: CC Bay Rum
    Stirling Bay Rum Witch Hazel
PAA AA Bay Rum Star Jelly
    AS: CC Cat O'Ninetails

    Good morning!

Another Bay Rum Thursday. I'm smelling good!

I'm just shaving my neck right now. When I get feedback from the alum it's usually just in the hollows of my neck where the skin is bumpy and it's easy to remove layers of skin from the high spots. Silent alum again today. Not sure what I'm doing differently but I am doing something better.

    Have a great day!

Above the Tie Kronos with R2 plate.
    Above the Tie Shave Soap.
    Feather blade.
Self fabricated Delrin brush handle with synthetic knot.
    Scottish Antique by Andy Hilfiger.

The new brush whipped up some great lather this morning. I loaded a little too much and had more lather than I needed. I thought the handle would not be comfortable to use but I found this was not the case. The knot fits tight in the handle and worked great even though it is not glued in. Now I just need a razor handle to match. Stay tuned.:D

Three nice passes with the Kronos left me smooth. One small weeper on the neck but not enough blood loss to even mention. Alum was a little warm in a couple of places but overall an excellent shave.

Finished the shave with the witch hazel, dry down and then the Scottish Antique.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday. Where has this week gone?

I just ordered more Delrin. :)

Great looking shave and photo Danny. The brush looks awesome. I love the minimalist look. It would pair well with the Nodachi
