Happy Sunday everyone. I am moving a little slowly this morning. We just had the first band of thunderstorms move through the area. We didn't get any damage and it seemed to be much less intense than forecasted. Decided to go with the PAA ShaveRite 210 again this morning. The funk in the mixed knot is still strong enough to overwhelm the Speick scent. I will be glad when the funk is gone so I can truly enjoy this knot. Three passes and touch ups just missed the little guy. I didn't buff my lower right neck and let him escape. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Thanks, Clint! Believe it or not the blade was NVOS (New Very Old Stock). The Mercantile company, based in Richmond, Va. that contracted for it went out of business in 1824 after the death of one of the two partners. Glen said it was one of five blades like it in the same excellent condition he’s worked on in the close to 20 yrs he’s been at it. It had never had scales and even lacked a working bevel. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this 200 or more year old lady shaves. It’s good Sheffield cast steel. :)

You know Joe, I was thinking the same thing, but I decided to withhold that suggestion. A romantic evening at their favorite restaurant will change their mood. However, I guess you have to first convince them to go out when they're in a sour mood.

Thanks Joseph. It takes practice and a little daring to do it. In your professional line of work, it's the same thing when you want to perform a difficult piece that stretches your ability and vocal chords. You don't think you can do it, but eventually, you get there. Of course, there is a limit to one's ability such as supposedly hitting a high F (soprano range) like Freddie Mercury did.

The jasper stone I have stays flat. It is barber hone sized, but you would be correct on it taking a looooong time.

That is a gorgeous vintage straight Jeff! Hmm, remember when I said that you will one day go for a straight that would be bigger than an inch wide and you said no way. Lol! I am looking forward to your first shave with that big fella so that I can officially welcome you to the major leagues in straight shaving.

Fast and easy. Ive used this setup including the soap most of the month. I'm a little worried how I'll do when I switch things up again.

I need to say this. It truly is amazing how talented this group is. The diverse gifts that are imbued in you guys is quite astonishing and that it goes beyond shaving. I just wanted to uplift you guys. I know some of you are having a difficult time so I just wanted to bring a little smile to your face. I appreciate you guys.
