As long as they don’t let that ‘Danger’ guy @wristwatchb in. He has a history of cherry bombing the school commodes with ingredients he snitched from the chemistry lab and successfully leveraging the blame on others.

I manage hauling my own trouble baggage just fine without the piling on.

Hey, Evan, that’s what makes this hobby so much fun. I rarely shave with the same razor more than twice in a row! :D

I imagine a Bunsen Burner was one of those ingredients. Y'know...the thing that burns bunsens.

Yes I did see that it was a solid wedge. Personally, I rarely use my Wosty wedge unless I have at least a 48 hr beard growth. Near wedges and wedges shave better with thicker beard growth.

I would think Charlie was a very good student and probably challenge me as a teacher.

March 28 Sprecher Sunday Shave of Day!

    Good afternoon guys!

I decided to break out Mad Max before the end of the month! 20210328_161027.jpg

    Straight shave #253
    10/8 Max Sprecher 1/2 Hollow Barber's Notch
    Catie's Bubbles Tuxedo Brush
Stirling 2019 LE BoS SS and AS
    Dickinson's WH and Nivea ASB
    Whiskers: 30hrs

I have church services every Sunday evening so I need to shave in order to respect God's house.
Did the wet brush lathering method which is to keep all the water in the brush and load off the puck. Yes, it is frothy, but I kept on adding soap until I got my nice, wet and creamy lather. The BoS scent is a knockout. It really is a classy, cologne scent in my honest opinion. Did 2 passes (WTG and ATG) with very little touchup for a BBS - shave. Did get a tiny weep in the middle of my chin, but it disappeared as quickly as it came without any intervention by me. I will use Mad Max one more time this month and it will be my 35th shave. After 34 shaves, this straight is still sharp. It still sings while I am shaving my stubble and without using any pressure to do so. I'm not surprised because it is a premium razor that should perform magnificently. Finished with my usual post shave routine by ending with this beautiful matching aftershave. I smell wonderful. It was quite an enjoyable shave. Have a nice evening guys!

No doubt, but I believe thicker grinds perform better with thicker stubble. I have used my Wosty near wedge on a 30 hr growth and it was fine. I have also used it on a 3 day growth and it was more fun using it in that instance. It's a ymmv thing.

Definitely subjective and hard to generalize when it depends upon individual growth rate and follicle density! :D

It's true that there are always exceptions to the rule. As you know, conventional wisdom states that heavier grinds are for thicker and coarse beards. I also believe in the adage: "It's your shave, do it your way."
