Closing out the month with another Lalune shave.
Soap du jour was the MdC Fougère, and I have decided to titanic this product in April.
Got bit by the Lalune on the right cheek...more of an awkward set down.
I have a nice little straight mark to remind me for a day or two.

This was the very first scent created by the Amouage house.

    Screen Shot 2021-03-31 at 06.44.12.png
The fragrance starts off very flowery, but after the dry down, what remains is a
fantastic, animalistic, dare I say, cat-pee (Civet) scent.
Now, I know many of you are turning up your collective noses at that image,
but I assure you, it is a masculine and addictive scent.

This fragrance is mos def© not for everyone, but if it calls you, you must answer.

  10. Excellent shave Joseph! However, I thought the cat pee reference was reserved for anti-Veg shavers.

    Razor: Blackland Tradere SB
    Blade: Ladas SuperStainless (1)
Brush: Heritage Collection dubl duck/ gelled boar
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: PAA Astra Planeta
    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
    PAA Astra Planeta Star Jelly
    AS: PAA Astra Planeta

    Good morning!

Awesome shave to start the day and end the month. Three pass neck and upper cheeks. Completely silent alum.

A day early but I'm doing Astra Planeta April. I'm hoping to at least see a donut hole by the end of the month.

I'll also be focusing on the gelled boar in the HC dubl duck. Oddly enough it loaded and lathered with no issues. My plan right now is to use it throughout April but if it performs like it did this morning it'll stay as is in the rotation.

Ladas Super Stainless. I've always considered these to be just ok. I have found that an extended run with a blade that I thought lesser of has changed my opinion by the end. I have a feeling the same will hold true for the Ladas if this morning's shave is any indication. Wonderfully smooth while wiping away three days growth.

Razor selection will be my only variable. The Tradere SB is the last of my Blackland razors and its run will end my Blackland razor focus. It's one of the top dogs in my collection. Not sure which razor I'll use next. Whichever strikes my fancy when the day comes.

    Have a great day!

  19. . Thanks, Joe! Yeah, I’d forgotten how much I liked Mike’s Hungarian Lavender soap. I’d also forgotten what a great brush the RR 400 was.

    Good morning guys!

    Straight razor shave #254
    10/8 Max Sprecher (35)
    Catie's Bubbles Tuxedo Brush
    RR Classic SS
    Old Spice P/G AS
    Dickinson's WH and Nivea ASB
    Whiskers: 24 hours

I wanted to end March in a big way and using today's setup certainly fits the bill. This Catie's Bubbles brush really made a great lather with the RR Classic SS. I just loved the almond/cherry frag that wafted through the air as I was loading it on my brush. This soap was so easy to lather. My 35th Mad Max shave was super! Two passes and slight touchups gave me a near BBS shave without any cuts, etc. I hope to reach 50 shaves by June because it will be my 1 yr anniversary with this razor. Finished the shave witg the wh, asb and Old Spice AS. Have an awesome day guys!
