  3. I've had it about 2 years and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. It is a bit lighter, but it's very easy to maintain the correct angle. It shines on 2 or 3 days of stubble, but since the lady prefers a clean shaven mug, I haven't had that much lately. It is mildly aggressive, but not bite your face, just efficient. It remains in a regular rotation of NEW SC, NEW LC, Blackbird and Standard.
  4. They almost always do now days, but the breakfast was a real bonus! I'm normally the one who makes breakfast.
  5. Thanks Troy. Sounds like a great razor and I like light weight razors. Take care.
  6. Thanks Danny; it’s remarkable what an amber wedge and bone scales can do to dress up an archaic razor design!
  7. Thanks, Jason.
The gelled boar seems to be coming around. At first it wouldn't pick up enough soap for a second pass. Curious to see if there will be more improvement as the month progresses.
    Thanks, Joe!
    Thank you, Danny!
This life of leisure is wearing me out. Beautiful weather today so I spent about seven hours out in the yard, got a lot done. I'm ready for warmer weather. Seventies Tuesday, snow yesterday, seventies today. Springtime in the Rockies.

  9. April 1 SOTA Tsuka (BoS) Thursday

    Good afternoon guys!

    Straight Razor Shave #255
6/8 Ralf Aust Full Hollow Spanish Point
    Mr. EE Tuxedo Brush
Stirling Blood on Steel LE (Tsuka) SS and AS
    Dickenson's WH and Nivea ASB
    Whiskers: 30 hours

I wanted to start off this month on the right foot so I picked this setup. Stirling's BoS is a nice scent that I just like alot. Evan's tuxedo brush has some backbone and it is a great latherer. I wetted my face with the brush and made a frothy lather as a preshave for my beard. I kept loading and lathering until I got the lather to my liking.

    Second Lather: 20210401_165902.jpg

I have 2 Ralf Austs and I bought it new from Maggards a year and a half ago. I picked it because I haven't used it in quite some time. I have to say that I forgot how incredibly sharp this razor is. I really could have stopped at one pass, but I always do at least 2 passes.
Two passes gave me a BBS shave without any cuts or irritation. In fact, it was just shy of cotton ball BBS.
Ended with my usual postshave order of the wh, asb and this glorious BoS aftershave.

    Here's the results:
