    Not bad at all.
    Best part is the fragrance.
    Leather is fast and easy.
I use It in stick mode.

I've read some issues on the earlier release.
This is a September 2014 batch.
    And It's perfect.
    Still now ...

So today is Fat Friday and after a great shave my face feels wonderful. I was surprised that a 30 second load with this small 20mm Boar on first use had 3 passes of great and slick lather. The boar literally sat in a drawer for 9 years before I set it the other day in this handle. I like the feel of the handle. I should have done it sooner. We'll see if the boar breaks it and gets rid of the scritchiness and stops shedding (only 3 hairs this morning) If not I will set another knot in it. This knot was from China way back when and a VERY cheap one ($3 if memory is correct) so I'm not expecting much from it. I do like the old school look to it as it seems to go with the unfinished handle. EARLY start for me longing for a short and quick day. Have a GREAT day everyone !!

Great looking shave. I have found I get better shaves with the Core when I use it like a cartridge razor and add some pressure.

    Gorgeous razor Evan.

Awesome shave Dave. I really like the brush handle.

Happy Friday everyone. Back with MWF for a Fat Friday shave. The Paladin did a wonderful job loading and lather the Fat. Three passes and touch ups ended with a drama free BBS shave. A splash of La Toja and I am off to a client site for the day. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.

    Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion

Awesome three pass shave with no drama. The Yaqi razor is very efficient and a smooth razor. The Razorock Soap was on par this morning and is just a great value that punches way above it price point.

A little witch hazel followed by the juice. I did not know what aftershave to use this morning until I was going through the post first thing this morning. I dedicate the decanted Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion used in today's shave to Charlie @wristwatchb and Jason @jtspartan in hopes that they will one day appreciate the glorious juice.

    Take care gentlemen.....it is FRIDAY!

Yes, I watched a few YouTube videos, and everyone said to use some pressure. Totally odd feeling, since no pressure is used with traditional wet shaving razors. I have to admit, for the 1st go around with this razor, I really liked it.

SOTD FRIDAY MORNING, APRIL 2, 2021

Today I shaved with my newly arrived Ellis & Allan 8/8 Stubtail, a 200+ year old razor with an interesting history. Glen Mercurio masterfully assembled and honed this razor from what was originally, a standalone unsharpened blade. Camel bone scales, amber wedge, brass pins and inner bearing washers along with custom beehive outer washers by Austin Kennedy transformed this cleaver-like stubtail blade into a a magnificent antique shaving tool! But what was even more interesting is the blade’s history.

Richard Ellis and John Allan, good friends and former apprentices to John Galt, formed their General Mercantile Company in Richmond, Va. with Mr. Galt’s support in 1800, a partnership that lasted until it’s dissolution in 1824, a delayed victim of the Panic of 1819. During that time Mr John Allan adopted the three year old orphaned child of the actress, Eliza Poe. The little boy’s name was Edgar Poe, thereafter changed to Edgar Allan Poe. Edgar Allan Poe’s stepfather John Allan moved his family to London in 1815 to source British merchandise for the company, an example of which is this old blade. Enough history, back to the shave.

This old Edgar Allan Poe stubtail shaves like a champ, although the grip took a bit of getting used to. It's much heavier and larger than any of the other straights in the den, weighing in at 255 grams (9 oz) and measuring 7 inches from scale end to stubtail end. The mug shave was a completely silent three pass effort. This blade will definitely take some time to get used to. It’s size and length make going across the grain on my neck a bit of a challenge. I was unable to achieve the level of smoothness I like on the neck as a result. Fortunately, I’d selected my Eclipse Red Ring for my dome shave, and cleaned up my neck with it before its usual excellent two pass ATG Dome assault. The Red Ring is just an incredibly awesome, efficient shaver which left your somewhat frustrated narrator refreshed, clean and velveteen smooth.

RAZOR: Ellis and Allan Stubtail 8/8 (Mug), Eclipse Red Ring (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE LE Aluminum Handled SynBad Knot #005
SOAP: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Osage Rub.

The ship has officially left Southampton, making its way westward, towards NYC.
The lather, while dense, slick and protective, began to irritate my skin about halfway
    through the shave.
It's just as well that I am working my way to the bottom. There's still plenty,
but, IMO, Martin de Candre does not warrant the high price it commands.
Yes...you'll get a LOT of shaves, but if they aren't comfortable, or the product dries the skin...
it's not worth the moola. When this is gone, you'll not see MdC in my shave den ever again.
Took the Böker Red-Injun 101 to the hard Arkie before the shave.
What a terrific blade. Perfect size for me and it just is so easy to use. It's a "keeper".
The only incident this morning was when I mowed off a zit. Oh well, it needed to go anyway.

This is a gorgeous fragrance from the middle east. It starts off with a peppery rose,
    supported by amber and oud.
When it dries down, the musk takes over.
Longevity is outstanding as well as sillage and projection.
This stuff lasts a long time. I eschew spraying it on my clothes, because it'll remain on them for 48 hours+

Course this was my FIRST shot, as I had Pfizer. I actually broke down and bought some frozen yogurt, and had just 3 scoops(in a much smaller bowl than what I used to use). I added flaxseeds. It was Mint Chocolate Chip. Glad you'll soon return to the children's hospital. Smile at the therapy pets for me :).

I've been made aware of different pronunciations for "Pinaud". Some video freaks say "P-uh--NOWD". I always figured it to be "PEA-KNOW".

Love all the polymers Danny. I'm afraid Clubman reminds my wife of her high school principal and as a result, it does not inspire hugs and kisses.

It's Good Friday! Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!
