That is a fine Fougere Friday, Blair. How does the Paco Rabanne do with the Felce?

    Thanks, Jason.

I'm not doing the flooring myself. Installing, sanding, staining and sealing is more than I'm interested in doing. Moving the furniture out and back in is enough for me.

Those Cocobolo scales are very nice, Joe. Stunning wood. The Mrs. likes a 1/8” buzz on yours truly.

Dropping into say hi and report three epic shaves from this past week:

Some serious classics for this epic shave, a 2011 Muhle R41 loaded with a Personna 74 blade. Two products that lived up to the hype for me.

I have not made many purchases in the last year but I finally acquired one of the famous Iwasaki western grind razors. It came with a very nice edge.

This shave featured that wonderful elixir, Clubman and a brush that once belonged to a famous tenor.

    Greetings,

    (Indian Subcontinent DE Blade month.)

A new shave set up to start the weekend...After a month of using Egyptian made blades, this month i shall carry on using various Indian subcontinent made blades....Starting off with a maiden shave using the Gillette Winner Stainless...The verdict?...pairing it together with my Parker 55SL Semi-Slant razor made a smooth efficient combo eliminating my stubble with effortless ease....As it's my first shave with theWinner Stainless i have no complaints to report...Regardless to the blades manufacturing location in the Indian subcontinent, the Winner stainless is a smooth efficient blade... To compare them with the Winner Platinum i find the 'Stainless more assertive & smoother...However, this could also be down to my razor choice...

A enjoyable 3 pass +pick ups close comfortable maiden shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off a with a generous splash of Pashana ASL.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the long Easter weekend ladies & gentlemen.

    Razor: Asylum 17-4
    Blade: Wizamet (1)
    Brush: Trotter Handcraft/Brown Synthetic
    Soap: Stirling's Triumph
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Stirling's Triumph
    Fragrance: Paco Rabanne Invictus EdT

So I had this set in my BST but decided to pull it as I do enjoy the scent immensely and after a day no one wanted it although priced for soap, Splash and EdT which all was priced at half what the Edt alone cost new. Made me rethink whether I wanted to give it away that cheap. Glad I'm keeping it. I smell Maauuuvelous. The razor was acquired in a lot and is the Asylum 17-4 that was not machined according to specs given to the machine shop. Everything was good except the base plate was milled without the proper sb cut angle on the edge which left it with no blade exposure and lacked any cutting at all of whiskers. I read some tried a rubber o-ring and backed the handle off a little to get blade exposure that was missing. I was able to do that and got and close and comfortable shave. I may back it off a tad more next time to experiment. Leaves me wondering if I should leave well enough alone, use a Timeless baseplate as I've also read about success with doing that or to try my hand at filing it and perhaps butchering it..........I'll check with the voices in my head on that later. For now, I'll roll with it using the 0-ring as I don't have a .95 SB Timeless baseplate to try and they aren't cheap to buy just for an experiment. Have a great Day and Weekend everyone !

Thanks Jason! Felce Aromatica is the subtle sophisticated Fougère fragrance, slightly sweet, but fades entirely too quickly. The paco rabanne has more dark earthy notes, easily overshadows the Felce Aromatica once applied. Both are awesome.
