Fantastic shaves Jeff! Like I mentioned earlier, you have to make slight adjustments when using large blades. I am glad to see you did and that you enjoyed the shave with your new straight. By the end of next week, it will become child's play. Have a great day my friend!

Hello! TSD. Blues skies, shining on me, nothing but blue skies do I see.
I am trying to think what I am going to have Jason use for 30 straight days after I complete this jar of MdC.

Disclaimer: I win the wager, should the soap give up the ghost before the end of the month.
I am resorting to using my two tallest brushes, because the clanking of the jar against my others is too much for me.
The dubl duck can rip into some soap, yes sirree!!
Excellent fougère aroma from the soap is a nice start to a crisp morning.
Th razor du jour is an American-made (Detroit) straight.
Easy to wield and the edge is also easy to maintain.
I am getting good results on the neck these days. The biggest challenge seems to be the right side of my chin.
    I'll figure it out.

    Thank you, Jeff!

I'll probably put the Ambassador on 1 tomorrow if I'm in the mood for a technique testing shave.

Thank you Jason. I just noticed I had the wrong brush listed in the description. Yesterday was a day. Asha is home for easter. Maya is still in Lexington, KY. She had planned on staying since she has a big test on Monday. However she is quarantined with Covid until Sunday anyway. She is over the worst of it and feels great now. She received her first round of the Covid vaccine before she new she was infected. Maya can now confirm that is something you really do not want to do. The combo made the reaction to the shot much worse and the first few days of being sick worse than it would have been.

Three wonderful shaves Keith. I am glad to see you posting and hope you are doing well.

Excellent shave recap and photo Barry.

Wonderful photos Dave. Good job on experimenting with the razor. That razor release did not go well at all.

    Love the Tatara Dark. Bravo.

    Looking good Jim.

Gorgeous lineup Jeff. I am glad you are getting the razor dialed in.

Wonderful shave report and photo Joseph. You have inspired me to pull out my MdC original.

Thank you Joe. She got the vaccine on last Tuesday morning. The University health department called at 11am to say she had been exposed to Covid. Maya took the test and was confirmed with Covid late Wednesday. However, she had terrible reactions to the shot on Tuesday afternoon and was pretty sick Wednesday and Thursday.

Awesome lather this morning that was in Primotenore territory. I think I will be focusing on my Soap Commander soaps more this month. Alabama made and Alabama goodness.

The ATT Calypso was a joy to drive this morning. Three great passes and just a hint of alum.

Finished the shave with the matching balm.

Everything is moving slow this morning. We are baby sitting the grandboy today (mainly my wife is) and I am about to get outside and work on the swimming pool.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing Saturday.

Happy Saturday everyone. It was nice to have a relaxing morning here at home. @Primotenore inspired me to pull out my jar of MdC original. I bought this slightly used on a BST back in late 2014. Since that time I received a MdC Fougere as a gift and bought the MdC Vetyver and Agrumes. Needless to say I am a fan of MdC soaps. I find the soaps to be exceptional easy to lather with the added benefit of lasting seemingly forever. Most of all I always seem to get fantastic shaves using MdC soaps. I don't notice the drying since I use witch hazel with aloe, lanolin and glycerin after every shave. Accordingly I don't look to the soap for any post shave enhancements. Sticking with the Wolfman theme for the week, I pulled out my Wolfman WR1 in Titanium. I got the head only since I already had several Ti handles.

As expected the Paladin loaded and lathered the MdC with ease. MdC will hold a tremendous amount of water. In order to get the best from the soap, one must add water slowly while lathering. The soap is deceptive in that it appears well hydrated well before that is actually the case. I absolutely love the benzoin and lavender scent of the soap. It almost has a floral medicinal scent to my nose. The scent last throughout the safe. With a new Feather blade loaded, I went to work shaving. A traditional three pass shave followed by touch ups along the jaw line and buffing my lower neck, caught the baby with ease. It is hard to argue with an automatic drama free BBS shave. A splash of Fine Lavender and I am off to meet a client over coffee. I hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday.
