    My A&E soaps last about 35 shaves or so. Most artisan soaps last somewhere between the mid 30s to mid 40s

    Fine shave Jim! Any sharp instrument has the potential to cut regardless of the efficiency. Unfortunately, we sometimes let the guard down with mild razors that we end up cutting our mugs.

    I decided some retail therapy was in order for my sanity. :D Since I follow Simpson Brushes on social media, I noticed a limited release of Chubby 3 brushes with their Sovereign Fibre brushes. I decided to get one in the ivory vein pattern. I am looking forward to trying this monster out.

    Yes Joe across brands I average around 30 shaves for a 4 oz puck and 40 shaves more or less for a 5oz puck. My buddy Wade shaves 8 times a month and finishes 2 pucks each year. Part of that is both Wade and I use very dense badger brushes which eat through the soap.

    Damn! I easily get over 100 shaves with Stirling and other soaps. <What am I doing wrong?> Lol!

    You talk about lather hog brushes. I just load so much soap the lather has to come out. :happy097: Of course I have more work rinsing out the brush afterwards. :D

    I shaved twice on Thursday ( had a date)so Friday is a no shave day. Instead, I took my mountain bike out for a spin on our local single track trails!
