When I shaved, it was a gray day, perfect for a vetiver; now it's a summer cologne day, even though it's cool.

I use this razor very little, I don't know why....
It is very good, well built, mild but efficient, and in excellent condition.
In addition, the handle offers a perfect grip, even with soapy hands.

Great lather thanks to the foresight and generosity of the Samples Donor who offered me a piece that could be used as a stick.

Excellent shave today. I tried out Scotch Porter face wash today and the results are encouraging. My face was clean and well prepared for the blade. The Futur made short work of two days growth and Beaudelaire preformed admirably.

The Arko Shave Soap lathered well with the SlimGem Silvertip Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the H2 Gillette Travel Tech razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Alt-Innsbruck AS Splash.

My face is still tingling like hell from this wonderful menthol bombardment - the pre shave soap from Stirling put the wheels in motion, the Frosted Lavender soap has a beautiful scent with no real menthol bleed over but when I started lathering up the freezing sensation hit me like a ton of frigid bricks exactly like a Stirling Glacial soap. The skincare of this stuff is awesome also thanks to the tallow formula and all the other great ingredients Fernando puts into his soaps - he’s a Grand Master of soap making as well as a dear friend of mine. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave completed the job beautifully. This shave was magnificent and I enjoyed it immensely!

Razor: Kai Folding Shavette type(Luffy)- Great Zamak shavette, easy to manipulate around the face, I like this folding type.
Blade: Kai Protouch guarded (4)- Excellent blade, very smooth & sharp compared to a naked edge. Great blade to learn with or just shave IMO.
Soap: Razorock Lavender- nice scent with excellent lather properties,(discontinued?) One of the better soaps in their line IMO.
Brush: Yaqi 24 mm Tuxedo knot- excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great gentle scrub + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG+ pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS + DFS+ BbS + no irritation + 1 tiny weeper= Excellent shave with my Kai style Shavette with a Kai Protouch guarded blade.

Decided to switch up from injectors and use a different style of SE blade and a razor I haven't used in a long time. This razor is nowhere near as aggressive as it was the first couple of times I used it way back when. It is still not a mild razor, time and practice at work here improves shaves. End result BBS finish achieved.

So ive been having crappy shaves lately and decided i need a simple mild shave. Well obviously there is only one tool for that job.. yeah you guessed it, the R41 with a feather blade pffft duh!

But seriously, this razor once a scary monster when i first started and it felt like it, but i dont know when it happened, but at some point this razor just shaves wonderfully. It doesnt feel aggressive anymore and actually feels like any othet but with teeth.. just like a tiger thats been tamed... it will purr like a kitten, but can still bite.

BBS SMOOTH without the bite.
