The ones with the 400 030 patent do exist but the exact switch over date has never been fully verified. It is assumed 1939. What is odd here is that even though there aren't many of these razors out there you'd think you'd see more with a 400 030 patent on them with the spirl knurled handles.
With all that shine and sparkle you'll need to shave in the dark ..... better yet send it to me and with the distance it'll look like a glittering star.
According to @Northstonehill initial post the advert shows this as a #45 set. edit Also according to one of my posts in this thread showing a 1940 advert they still used #45 number for the same set (Popular set consisting of a blue moulded case with nickel plated razor) in 1940.
