I checked the site. It is $159.95 US for standard aggressive plate, razor and bag and $179.95 US for the standard aggressive and hyper-aggressive plates, etc.

EDIT - Looks like some are available. He must have decided to break up the sets !

Great shave Andrew. I like using modified Gem blades in my OneBlade Razors. Like you, I think they work better and last longer.

I just may continue the same setup for as long as I can this week. This is my last Personna Hairshaper and I usually go 8 to 10 shaves before I bin it. So I have at least 2 possibly 4 shaves left on this blade. I also want to kill the Glastonbury soap so I will use it until it's gone. It will leave me with 6 Stirling soaps. I will have 2 Spring/Summer scents, 2 cologne scents and 2 Christmas/winter scents. I originally had 10 Stirling Soaps. I have used up Piacenza, Bay Rum and Sandalwood with the Glastonbury next in line.

I don't see a need to buy an ATT clone when I have 8 ATT base plates, 2 caps and about 4 handles in aluminum and stainless steel. Most of my ATT collection was bought second or returns on their website.

I bought a R41 clone in stainless steel but Muhle does not make a stainless steel head. I wanted a R41 head in stainless steel.

Yes, I did buy the Yaqi AC style head and provided a link that is similar to the Vector. Is is a clone, homage or inspired by the Vector? I don't know. It is an interesting razor that I could afford. I don't think Blackland had a patent on the Vector. The Rockwell razors have a squared threaded post and the Elgin pen safety razor even had a threaded round post that went through the blade. Is this where Blackland got their idea? I guess it is possible....I don't know.

I see a lot of similarities in a lot of razors that we all shave with.

Years ago I was at the Cummins engine plant research center. Our guide walked us in room where there were 20 other engine manufacturer's heads being torn down and inspected. Most manufacturers glean and learn from each other. Is is cloning or copying...I guess it could be. Do we all benefit from this? We probably do by better and cheaper products.

Hope this helps explain my thoughts, Jim.

Nothing you or I can say that'll change each other's mind. You be you and I'll be me.

I like the oneblade, but don’t like the price of the feather blades it uses. I figured, if I could make this “work around” work, it would be that much better. I’ve got a bunch of SE Gem blades, so why not? I’ve been modifying Gem blades for my Valet razors for years.

This was my 1st attempt, but it worked out well. I’m sure the Gem blades will last longer too! My biggest issue is the cost of the feather blades the OneBlade razor uses.

I was not trying to change your mind.....just giving my thoughts.

I did not even know you was opposed to "cloned" razors.

    Take care.

That would ease my mind paying the price then. It riles me when companies offshore to China for the cheap labour but still ask big prices . Happy to see Rod made it on this side of the world instead of farming it out to China.
