Vintage M7, your way down the rabbit hole now. Just put mine away, I only use it in cold weather. Trying to make mine last too.

Honing is like politics, best not discussed on the forum. For me honing is just an end to a means. There are so many ways to get a great edge, I just stick with my method. I have shaved with Jared’s edges and they are very nice. My take is the convex edge is helpful if you have a wonky razor. If I have wonky razor I sell it.

Great Delrin shave, Danny! Excuse my ignorant question, but I noticed you haven’t shaped the handle on your brush. Is the Delrin not lathe-friendly, or did you decide to not turn it? Have a great day! :)

The Lalune is a beautiful razor, Joseph, even in its current state, which I’m sure a return to your father’s Ark should remedy. Enjoy your day! :)

Thanks Jeff.....now I sit here waiting on my car to be repaired(not the whole thing, just various things that help make it go).

Thanks Joe....I guess the big test is to see how this cologne works with the humidity of the summer.

I haven’t used a cartridge razor in at least 10-12 years, or more so it’s totally different for me as well. Yes, you use pressure with the OneBlade, which feels so wrong.
That being said, I want to master it, just because it’s different. The other reason I want to master it is I have a 16 year old son, that will be shaving soon. I figured the OneBlade would be perfect for him to learn on. I don’t want him using cartridges, if I can help it! Lol. He’s a pretty good outdoorsman already, so he knows how to handle sharp blades, but he’s a little nervous about using a straight razor. Of course, I wouldn’t let him start there anyways. Haha.
Like I’ve posted here before, I was almost an exclusive straight razor guy for the last 5-6 years, until very recently. I just started using my SE, and DE safety razors again.
Even Going back to safety razors, has been a learning experience for me.
hope you have a great day as well.

Thank you :). I'll have a different aftershave tomorrow. Throwback Thursday will be on Saturday of this week, as it was last week.

I've been having some brush acquisition disorder recently, but I'm a little late to posting. Ordered the Semogue 830 from west coast shaving. I blame Kevy Shaves for the enabling here. I have heard the best way to break in this brush is by letting it soak in cold water inside the fridge for 2 days. I'll give it a shot.
