I little chilly in Alabama this morning.....36 degrees and frost is on the ground in a few places.
    20210421_171410.jpg
Yaqi SE AC Excaliber razor- RASB2102 head on Delrin handle
    Feather Pro Super blade
    Delrin handle synthetic shave brush.
    Soap Commander Drive shave soap.
    Stetson body spray.

Since yesterday's shave was a good one with the Yaqi I figured I'd give it another go this morning.

The soap was on par again this morning. I am really enjoying focusing on the Soap Commanders this month.

I started out with a Feather Pro but it was feeling a little tuggy so I loaded a new Feather Pro Super. Oh what an additional eight thousands of an inch makes on exposure. Kinda like opening the back barrels on a Quadrajet. Ya'll young boys will not get that. :D I completed three very smooth passes. This razor combo only weighs 1.14 ounces......easy to drive and throw around the curves. BBS :happy088: The alum was cool and was like rubbing an ice cube on the face.

A little witch hazel followed by a couple of squirts of the Stetson and this one was in the bag.

    Have a great day gentlemen!

    Good morning guys

    1955 Gillette Red Tip
    Rockwell DE Blade (?)
C-Mon Heritage Collection Super HD Badger Brush
    Stirling Glastonbury SS and AS
    Dickinson's WH and Nivea ASB

    Whiskers: 22.5 hrs

Got last minute call to report to work at 9:20.
so I decided to shave although I will be masked for the day. I picked the Redtip because it isn't an aggressive razor, but it will do nicely for my slight stubble. As you can see, the Glastonbury will give up the ghost vert soon. Two passes gave me an IBSS+ which is good enough for me. Finished with my normal routine. Have a great day guys!

Thursday's shave was a success. 0:25 to load the P.A.A. "Boomtown" Bay Rum soap onto the Crown King brush. 2 healthy passes across the skin. Extra careful along NW and NE Porcupine Alley-no cuts/Knicks. Additional work also down at Cactus Nation, spreading the soap in the same direction I would shave later. Nice work down there. Clubman Special Reserve A.S.&Cologne to finish things off. May have used a little too much, after all it IS, in part, a cologne. Ahh, that's all right..it'll settle down soon. Outta This World Excellent.

SOTD THURSDAY MORNING, APRIL 22, 2021

Intrigued with the edge on the Thistle Cut Persian 4/8 yesterday, I ran my second Thistle Cut 5/8 through the same Shapton progression last night, ending on the 30K and this time blunting the square tip before running it through the two pasted and third leather stropping. Well, boys and girls, the result was an edge directly comparable to the Feather Super edge in my Feather DX barber’s razor. The styrofoam peanut test was identical.

The only difference this time was I used Howard Schlechter’s edge killing trick on the corner of the 30K before restoring it with a final polish on the jasper stone before stropping. The result was a fabulous, porcelain smooth three pass mug result with no red fluid. My trusty little Ronson safety razor delivered its usual two pass noggin result, in the process putting the baby not just to bed, but into a veritable coma. Deciding to live dangerously, I broke out the Florida Water to cap off a truly epic shave.

RAZOR: Thistle Cut 5/8 (Mug), Ronson Safety Razor
    BLADE: Schick Proline B-20 Injector
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    CREAM: Baume.BE
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac. Finished with Murray & Lanman Florida Water and Cremo Cooling Balm.

Here in Massachusetts, we barely see spring before summer arrives.

I find the zen of shaving is an escape for a few minutes when my life is stressful. Plus the shaving results add to my confidence. Glad to hear more than just your shaves are improving.

It looks like the soap already gave up the ghost.

I love my Shapton glass 16k, been tempted many a time by the 3ok. So it sounds like you like the stone?
