All these posts brought a big smile to my face. My first car was a '72 Challenger and the last car I owned before moving to Korea was a C-5 Corvette. Can't find any classic muscle cars in Korea, they do not sell the new Challengers in Korea and Corvettes run double the price they go for in the US. So this year I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 2020 Genesis G70 with a 3.3 twin turbo. She is pretty quick with a 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and is a blast on the twisties in the countryside. Next month I will change out the exhaust system. Times have really changed as the next big upgrade I will do is to change the computer (next year's project).

Yes, I set one for John (Screwtape) a few years ago. Others have probably posted about it as well.

Highly recommended, it is a fast stone, easy to use and leaves a fantastic edge. Not as fast as my Shapton Glass 16k. Both give excellent edges quick and easy.

Great looking car, Keith and I'm sure it is a lot more comfortable than a shark style vette.

At my last job and leaving it at 7:00 with a 45 minute ride home and wondering what I was going to do for dinner. I then peek in at the steaks that are reduced and think that can't be right. Meet guy comes over and says can I help you I said yeah is that really 70 cents? He pulls it out and says oops somebody marked that T-Bone 69 cents a pound instead of $6.99 a pound. Enjoy and handed it to me. Aaaahhhhh, dinner was good for 74 cents.

This is a double-themed shave, another 30DC related brush and a homage to our 'Bama based samurai. The brush handle was made by Jason and sports an Omega Pro knot. Inspired by the samurai's use of Arko I broke out my puck from under the sink, added some lanolin to the mix and :happy088:. This old puck still has that wonderful Lemon Pledge scent! Today's steel was 7/8 half hollow Brian Brown with a splash pattern on the blade. Invoking the power of the samurai must have worked as the shave was epic.

The change of seasons is official and I changed out my season specific fragrances and used my fresh out of storage SMN Aqua d' Cuba. :happy093:

And my head does not hit the roof like the old Vettes, but it does not look as cool as a Corvette.

Wow....what a deal! Your boss is going to be so proud of you cutting the meal expense by that much.

I hope it was good and a great way to wrap the day up.

Thanks, Keith! Bill is in the current process of mastering bumpy hones. I’m actually quite satisfied with my results from flat hones. I’m interested in bumpy (ie convex hones) because of their purported effectiveness with wavy old blades. Bill honed one of my beaters, and I was quite impressed with his results. :)

    Arko April continues!

I was out with the wife this evening running errands. We stopped by Walgreens to pick up her prescriptions. I walked into the shaving section, and came across the King C Gillette safety razor. Even though it’s been out for a while, I just heard about this razor a few days ago. So, I just had to pick it up.
I couldn’t wait to get home, and give it a go!

Feels nice in the hand, and has a decent amount of weight to it. Feels well made. I really like the length of the handle, but I wish it wasn’t so smooth. I didn’t use the blades, that it came with. I will once I get a little more familiar with the razor. It’s a pretty mild razor, but I got a nice shave with it. Overall, I’m impressed.

Razor : King C Gillette DE safety razor
    Blade: Voskhod
    Soap: Arko
    Brush: cheap boar brush
Aftershave: Old Spice (not pictured) [IMG]

Nice quality shave Andrew! I have heard good things about The King C Gillette razor. However, I prefer more aggressive razors.

Good move swapping out the wiring harness. Especially since it’s getting harder and harder to source NOS Lucas Wiring Harness Smoke. ;)
