    The LaToja Shaving Stick Shave Soap lathered well with Tom's B400 Two-band Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher razor with a Henckels Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    My Tapatalk was on the Fritz for the last couple days and wouldn’t let me post. Oh well . Didn’t take away from the Taiga shaves. For today I went back to the Yates for a quick shave before church.

    Bay rum scented icicles in my face from this lovely soap along with such great lather and skincare. The Prep was as always so moisturizing as well as soothing and the Krampert’s Bay Rum aftershave smells gorgeous, not to mention how gentle it is on my skin. Another tip top BBS shave!

    An 'inexpensive' one: I traded a couple of soaps i was not using for the knot and got the handle on Aliexpress for 10 USD!

    Pleasant when you get something you like for almost nothing...

    And... as i'm here let me say you shot a fantastic photo: it seem to date back to the 40's: the font on the labels, the black and white handle on a bloomed knot backed by the razor...
    Simply great: I love the 40's!

    RAZOR: Victor Creazzi’s “Bone Mosaic” 7/8 (Mug), Gillette Black Beauty (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE
    PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Alpha Shaving T-400 with 26mm Two Band Badger Ferrule
    CROAP: Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep
    POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Osage Rub.[​IMG]

    Sunday Schick shave, April 25th 2021

    Razor: Stick Schick injector L type theme series- MFG 1973, I like using this razor because it reminds me of my youthful days.
    Blade: Personna SS PTFE (3) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
    Soap: Razorock Irish countryside- nice mild scent with excellent lather qualities, good post shave feel.
    Brush: Yaqi Rainbow 26mm brown whiskers- great lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrub + great lather painter.
    Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
    Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
    Post shave: Razorock Blue barber with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
    Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper= [​IMG] Excellent shave with my Stick SchickL type with a Personna coated.

    I had a similar happy lucky experience when I came across a vintage boxed Kent V8 brush in a thrift shop for $5.

    You would probably enjoy "Vintage". There's a brief initial flash of the industrial age by way of a pleasant valve oil or tapping oil fragrance. It's non-volatile, but unmistakable nonetheless. According to Chris Cullen (the artisan), it was completely accidental, but it fits the motif.
