I decided to use the Stirling Coconut Lime soap because it is my next project to make it disappear. I will be using it for most of my shaves until it is finished. As far as the shave went, I did get a near BBS without any hiccups. My problem is with the Astra blade. Although it is only my second use, this blade was a little rough and I had to constantly buff to get the BBS shave with 2 passes. I will have to use the entire tuck of Astra's with different razors to make a determination on them. Finished the shave in my usual way. Have a great day guys!

Been sticking with my focus gear and swapping razors after three shaves. Today was day two with the Yates 921-H. Wonderful shave!

Beautiful pic, Clint. Looks like the cream won't be lasting very long with 2 shaves a week with it. Will it be a repurchase, or will you just run with the stick?

 

John, if you’re interested, there are many of us here who would be glad to take one of your razors and get it shave ready (me @jgreenepa , Bill @Edison Carter, Joe @Trigger and others). Bill, especially loves any excuse to break out his bumpy hones. That’s what we’re here for.

 

Love the black&white, Danny. Agree 100% on the 3x milled Fine pucks, of course. I see there are a few euro places out there that still have a puck or two.

 

Great Yates shave, John! There are just some safety razors that just “work” for each of us.

Nice shave, Joe! Astras are ok blades. My old mainstream blade was a Voskhod. Still have tons laid up.

 

Interesting points about the Astra, Joe. Green or Blue? I find the SPs (Green) a very smooth blade that is sharp enough. The Blues (SS), I find rougher.

 

I like it a lot, but this Glacial Electric Sheep is great stuff as well along with destroying the mosquito population!
