I am impressed that you did a headshave with a Feather blade in a Rex on full throttle! Bravo Jeff!

Awesome shave, John. The Yates are getting some great comments lately. I must resist....I must resist.

    Take care.

Thanks Jeff! I like the Voskhods. Right now, I tend to agree with you on the Astras. However, I will withold judgement on these blades until I use them in different razors and finish the tuck.

Gorgeous shave, Joe. The soap is officially been targeted and will be eliminated. Take care.

I just looked at the Astra box and it is the superior stainless with the blue trim. So, it is the Astra blues. Based on your comment, my experience just affirms your opinion on these blades. I will use them, but I don't think that I would buy them. However, I would be open to the green Astras.

Thanks Danny! I do like my soap collection, but I need to concentrate on using up these pucks. I am shooting for Stirling Coconut Lime, Tsuka (puck is less than 3 oz) and Elly's Wonder Shop Mysterium Peracelsus (less than 2.5 oz in my shaving mug) to finish.

Still a nice shave! I always have the mindset in loading more soap than you think you need for the shave. Unfortunately, we can only estimate the amount of soap on the brush. I swirl clockwise and counter-clockwise in the beginning and then I go north to south a number of times and then west to east a number of times and alternate back and forth. I call the latter method compass loading method. Swirling the brush in the beginning loosens the soap and ending with the compass loading method helps in putting extra soap because there is more force on brush with compass loading. Also, I have said this before, it is ok to relather an area in the middle of a pass so you won't have a problem with a lack of protection.

Awesome shave Joseph! You are a veteran shaver, so please do not take this the wrong way, but if you have alum, then why didn't you rub it on your fingers to get a better grasp on the handle?

Nice shave, Jason. I had to get rid of my vintage bottle of EL...caustic smell.

Great shaves and photo, Jim. Hope the floors are finished up, the furniture moved back and that is a celebratory cigar.

Thanks for liking my last few shaves and take care.
