I could not face another cold water shave this morning, so back to warm water. I pay my electric bill every month. Everything worked perfectly and near BBS once again.
    Prep: Shower and face wash
    Lather: Proraso Green
    Brush: synthetic
    Razor: ATT Windsor
    Blade: Astra (3)

I guess Mayhem has turned into a 'plastic razor apparently/actually made for shaving' focus pour moi. Also from @brit is this Lord disposable (?) shavette. Gary sent me two...and I thought we were friends. Anyway, thought I'd give it a run. Full disclosure- while I've used a CJB Kami (and attempted to use a Sayuri Kami) this is the first folding shavette I've ever tried. Gave it an arm hair test to ensure that it will, in fact, cut and gave it a go.
Whipped up a slick lather from this local soap. Looks like they aren't quite so local anymore (and are now making hand-rendered tallow based soaps) and the soap is certainly slick enough. If you've already figured out that I'm able to type this, then you know the shave didn't go that badly...but I did stick to one pass with it and then a tidying up pass with a Canadian prewar Tech. It has enough weight to it to know that it is there and the blade was sharp enough. I didn't filet myself, but did take a long time on that one pass. I'm not nearly as smooth as I usually am, even with the Tech pass, but it was basically incident free. Nowhere near as sharp as a fresh Feather Pro in a CJB, methinks. I'll probably give it another go tomorrow, if I start early enough to not rush it.
Finishing with the nice Cool is always a good idea.
    Have a great day all!

Colibri (Hummingbird) safety razor / 0.80 mm plate.
    Astra SP (3)
Dscosmetics handle with Shave Forge horse hair knot.
    Cella soap and aftershave splash.

    Gorgeous Cella lather this morning.

I completed three passes with the 0.80 mm plate and was really impressed with this razor. The guilloche pattern is real grippy, even more so than the brass Karve handle. There is absolutely no blade feel with this plate. The razor is solid and smooth. I would probably compare it to the B plate in a Karve, very mild. Even after three passes with a few touch up spots the alum was quite. Overall it was an enjoyable shave but definitely on the mild side. A very nice work acceptable shave. The razor does feel a little smoother than the 0.84 SB Gamechanger. I'll amp it up with the 1.10 mm plate in the morning....it just needs a little more horsepower. The 0.80 mm plate would be an excellent beginners plate.

    Take care gentlemen!

    Razor: Taylor Eyewitness 1000
Brush: Shore Shave Blue Nebula w/ Paragon 25 mm Boar
Lather: Loose Screw Uncomfortably Numb (1508.5)
Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Fantastic shave with the Taylor Eyewitness 1000. The razor is well balanced and comfortable to hold. @Trigger, I will bring it to our next meet up. I should be finished with this soap, via the Edmund Fitzgerald, by the end of the month if not sooner. I easily could have been satisfied with a two pass shave, yet I could not help myself so I did the third pass. It is my alone and Zen time so to speak. Just love the straight shaving process.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

    Super cool setup Barry!

Always enjoy seeing that Osiris example Keith! There is a really cool Osiris example in the recent BST threads at B&B....but, not quite worthy of breaking my NB'21. Cavendish CK6 is great stuff for Tobacco Tuesday.

    Very nice Simon!

    Thank you Joseph!

Sweet ER (handle switcheroo?) setup and combo Dave! Love that Paladin too.

Love the image and details Clint!

Cold water shaves....bleh. Good choice and setup Troy!

Fun MayHem plastic shave thingy Jason!

Cella huh? 'bout time for a rotation of it here. Very nice looking razor and combination Danny!

    Super nice PierPaolo!

Kudos on that acquisition Joe, very nice! Straight shaving definitely equals Zen time in my book too.
