    Huge thank you Tim.
These gentlemen's relish pots have become quite popular as soap dishes over here in the UK. This one however has one disadvantage in that it is really heavy and could do some major damage if dropped.

    Thursday morning:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Schick day 4
Master Soap Creations Peppermint Latte SS
    Prep ASB
    Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

My dear friend Fernando is such a soap genius - this Peppermint Latte has it all - a beautiful espresso/peppermint scent, the tallow formula gives such wonderful, thick, slick lather just like a Stirling soap, a delightful menthol sensation, and great skincare. A nice massage with the Prep followed by a couple of splashes of the Alt Innsbruck which to me smells gorgeous and I was good to go. Smooth as silk after three glorious passes!

Have a great day - be well and safe!

    Hi Friends,

    here my yesterday‘s shave (05.05.2021)

    96A4CA71-1B0C-46ED-B742-E131B0197314.jpeg
Razor: Henson AL13 Medium // Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium // Soap: Soap Commander Fortitute // Brush: PAV Brushworks Goldcoast // Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve // Music: Derek Fiechter - Inns and Taverns

So... after I couldn't resist the Henson hype, it has been the Medium version. Optically and haptically absolutely great. Especially for this price.

For the premiere, a fantastic soap was needed. Soap Commander Fortitute. A dreamlike scent with same properties. I can only keep advertising for Soap Commander. People, buy Soap Commander ❤️❤️❤️ So now whipped up the lather and off i went. After the first stroke or two, I actually checked to see if a blade has been inserted. Check...blade is in. Felt over the skin and mega surprised...VERY efficient. First pass finished. Short felt and further very amazed whether the thoroughness of the razor! The third pass was not necessary, because after the second pass I was nearly BBS.

So again briefly scanned and then cleaned out. Because of the preset angle, you can shave "foolproof" with it. Splashed with the Special Reserve, which I think goes very well with the EXTREMELY GOOD soap. NO, I do not get commission from Soap Commander, but find the soaps absolute top class and in my humble opinion, Soap Commander does not get the attention they deserve.

So now to the conclusion of the Henson after the first use: Extremely gentle (even gentler is then probably the "Mild" version), but at the same time with the thoroughness on the level of a Blackland's . Furthermore, the razor has a feeling through the angle, which I did not know until now. Absolutely (positively) unique. Due to the low weight a very good handling. The blade has no overhang on the sides, so there is no danger of cutting yourself. This only for all interested. I do not regret the purchase. Have a nice day and thanks for reading.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Cold Water Rinse
    Old Spice Original Shaving Cream
    Jayaruh #199 Synthetic
    Enders Speed Shaver
    Schick Proline B20
    CWR
    Granddad's Blend AS

The Old Spice Original Shaving Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #199 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Enders Speed Shaver with a Schick Proline B20 blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor: Razorock Wunderbar slant- 2017> Excellent upper mid range, When technique is good this razor can crank out some close shaves, light touch works well with this razor. I don't think it would be Daily driver for myself but a joy to use regardless.
Blade: Gillette Astra SS(5) excellent blade, Sharp & Smooth with good longevity.
Soap: Razorock XXX, One of my favorites, nice refreshing scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Moka 24mm Mew knot, nice eye candy, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips with gentle scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= [IMG] Excellent shave with my RR Wunderbar slant + a Astra SS blade.

Twin Feather blades in the Shake Sharp mk1. No disputing the closeness of the shave but I feel smoothness gained by the use of twin blades is a bit compromised here, at least with a new edge. I expect sharpness will drop quite a bit using the same edge on a second full beard and head shave, more so than with most blades, so may not be my best match.[IMG]
