Big vintage (1980s maybe) sealed can of Lady Lee coffee, from some western U.S. store chain(?). Opened it...strength of fragrance wasn't overpowering by any means but definitely present. Indicates that there will be some flavor. Will make a cup in the A.M.

I happen to stop by an antique store and saw this sad little dude among a few other sad dudes and decided to save him. $9 seems a but much for me, but i like the base .

    A J B Williams gift set for $20.

I mostly wanted it for the two soaps but everything appears to have not been used so I'm pretty pleased with it. Not sure on the age but the dental powder probably makes it older rather than newer. I've seen similar sets previously that have a bottle of Aqua Velva instead of dental powder.

Nice set, Congrats ! My set had the dental powder, talc, 2 bath bars,de blades, wood bowl of soap and the aqua velva. I think they're from 40's to 50's and cool sets to get and use.

Have made a few pots of the stuff. Flavor is degraded to merely acceptable, but is on par with many name brands today. I really can't tell much difference...will let you decide what that says about the quality of average consumer level coffee these days.

Incidentally, it helps that at the local drop-off where people dump things they don't want to move, I found a $100+ Krups drip coffee maker, one with a built-in water filter, barely used and in nearly new condition. Ran several clean cycles through it and got a new filter. I knew my water here in Florida isn't great but hoo boy I had no idea what a difference a simple charcoal filter would make.
