Great pic, of course, Jim. Our Hostas have done much better in sun with water, rather than shade with less, fwiw...similar climates, I would think.
Deer candy, though, if that is a issue there.

 

I was about to join in, until I realized I have finished my Seville and Reserve Cool soaps...a few splashes does not a focus make...

 

A very nice run with the General indeed, Clint. Dead Sea certainly has its fans. Perhaps a little liquid lanolin would push it up the ladder?

I'm hoping the Hosta will grow where we have them. West side of the house with shade from the trees in the front yard, near zero direct sunlight. I've only seen deer two or three times since we've lived here so they shouldn't be an issue, rabbits will most likely be the problem although they have been pretty scarce lately as the fox and coyote population seems to be on the rise.
Speaking of similar climates we have the possibility of snow in the forecast for Tuesday.

Completely agree.

 

We have a huge urban deer problem here, Jim. They cull (controversially to some) but they don’t keep up. Snow isn’t forecast, but it is dank, windy and miserable. High of only 10 degrees above freezing the next few days.

Bang on. People contribute where they can, without judgement. I always expect that 30DCers are doing what they can to be on here. Myself, I am active at some times, less so other times, and I expect others are the same.

As the years have gone on, I hit the like button more, and the reply button a little less. Just the way I’ve had to do it. You do what you need to do, Dave. I have come to value whatever a DCer can contribute.
