I come and go freely as I have time. I don't do many replies, it is just a lack of time. I do appreciate the camaraderie that exists on this thread. When I drop back in the only thing I wonder about is did I miss any funny adventures?

I converted my music to HD, upgraded to a nice DAC and the add a vacuum tube amp and the sound is much better. I can stream my music to several rooms but I do it over wire and not over WiFi.

I don't hone that much and mostly just refreshing the edge but I do have variability in my results... I guess it is a lack of practice but I can usually redo it and get the results I want.

Thanks Keith! I always admired your big razors. I was inspired by you to try a 7/8 razor and that was big for me at the time. I never thought that I would be shaving with über large blades. I have enjoyed my journey thanks to you and the rest of the 30 DC crew. Take care.

The frankenrazor/Astra SS. duo mowed through my stubble effortlessly. A great razor/blade combo...The protection slickness and glide of the Maca Root shaving cream is absolutely superb. It never fails to provide a wonderful lather in a short space of time leaving a equally fantastic post shave feel.

A pleasurable 2 pass + pickups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off a with a generous splash of Nivea Men ~ 2 Phase ASL.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

Wrap up to 'Big Razor Week'

Saturday shave: Mike Martinez 8/8, fresh off a touch up on Shapton Glass 16k was my choice. Shavemac brush and CK-6 rounded out the shave. The edge was wonderful, sharp and smooth. The lather was slick and everything was spot on delivering an epic shave. Guerlain Vetiver was the frag of choice.

Sunday's shave featured a Wootz steel Snail Forge clad in mammoth tuck scales. This Polo 12 in Super is a HUGE brush with fantastic hair. It is to huge except for when I have time for a leisurely shave. Castle Forbes Lime is a favorite of mine, great performance and great scent. A tiny operator leaving a small nick and some feedback from the alum left me just short of epic but still well within the excellent classification.

    Brush: Hembree Delrin

    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 914

So some years ago I had a Karve and the C was my daily driver plate. I was keeping fewer razors around and it didn't make the cut. Now I have on loan from Danny this set and the C was nice but my technique has vastly improved from the old days and the E today gave me such a nice smooth shave. Gonna try the D Open Comb tomorrow. I usually don't care for OC's but a few have been gems for me such as the RFB by Gillette so we shall see. The Delrin handle felt good in the hand which goes to show you a simple design can get the job done too. The knot was a little loose when cleaning the brush out so it may need to be reset soon if it breaks free. I want to try it some more. It's got sooooo much backbone that you have to be rough with it to get any splay which no doubt helped loosen it's setting. Some peppery goodness from Mr Burberry and I'm set for the day. Take Care All !
