The Williams Brush has had the Boar removed and it was discovered the hollow handle had no stop for the plug once it was removed. It appears that the knots originally were inserted from below and then the bottom button/cap of the handle was installed. Of course this left nothing for the new knot to secure to. Fortunately a synthetic wine cork proved the perfect thing to set in the handle with silicone and gave a bottom for the new knot to set to. Setting up now and should be ready for the next Williams Wednesday Shave.

aaaah, it just didn't feel right. The antithesis of using a Stoylin Glacial A.S. on New Year's Day.

Super shave, pic and post Danny. I miss Jeff's banter, but I have no doubt that he will be back soon.

Awesome shave Jim! I always like that brush because of the black and green color. It is what finally made me buy my butterscotch/cream C-Mon. Have a great day

    Fougère Friday!

Super fun bowl lather from this BSSW Disco handle and the SV 4.3 formula. Awesome, complete nose gratifying fragrance from the puck and lather as well, thick with a great face feel.

Small MayHem shave today, totally enabled by @Terry and his shenanigans of removing the safety bar off a couple of razors, and acquiring a couple as well. Love the control afforded by removing the safety bar, it's just shaving with a straight that has a perpendicular handle to the blade (some angle thrown in too). Ride the cap, nice blade feel, but engage the blade ever so slightly more, and it's super efficient skin, er....stubble removal with no holds barred. Still use my ever faithful WTG/XTG/XTG passes, nice BBS results with no issues.

Followed up with SV's matching after shave, same super pleasant fragrance. This after shave is a slightly thickened clear gel, in a way reminds me of Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly (but Star Jelly is closer to a lotion thickness). Awesome face nourishment from either in my book. The Felce Aromatica is a subtle fougère, slightly sweet, wears close to the skin with little sillage, but I do catch whiffs from time to time for several hours.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

    Fantastic!! Blair just Fantastic!!
I've been using the DEvette for months now.
I try out other razors, none can compare, with a new feather blade each time.
You get used to a great shave and you can't put it away.

Pulled out the Z0 this morning. Not MAYhem, but my most aggressive modern DE by far in terms of blade feel and attention needed to avoid seeing red. This stainless copy of a '13 R41 is a fine shaver, though, and will reward care and technique.
Pulled out the Felce for Fougere Friday and was once again mesmerized by the scent during lathering. Love it. Anyway, gave the 3 passes the time the razor demands and was rewarded with excellent results. Not quite perfect on the lower neck, but I didn't really buff at all either.
    Have a great day all!

Had less time than I thought this morning, so my variable was the soap.
    Vintage, tallow Williams.
    Razor/Blade remained the constant.
To those, who have issues with my hyperbole, I ask for your indulgence.

    THIS WAS INCREDIBLE LATHER!!!!

So, does tallow Williams stand up to everything on today's market?
    Mos def©

Honestly, I defy ANYONE to have problems loading this soap.
This soap being the original, tallow-first, vintage puck.
    They are amazing.
Great shave, über-slickness and stellar results.
