@Paul Turner. Paul, Danny told me what size knot to put in his handle. I ordered a 24 mm knot and one use silicone adhesive ( cost a buck and change). Danny had the precise opening to fit the knot and a preset base floor to place the knot. All I had to do was apply the silicone inside the handle where the knot sits and the inner side walls as well as the bottom and the outer perimeter of the ferrule. I pushed and twisted the knot into the handle to make sure that it would be secure. Now, I just have to wait 24 hrs for the silicone to cure. However, it will be almost another 24 hours before I will use it on Sunday. Total time: approx 48 hrs.
So, it really was easy peasy Paul. Hopefully, the knot doesn't come out of the handle.

    Thanks Bill!!
    Yea I really like it.
Only afraid of what I'll do if I accidentally break it....
    Or it just wears out.
It will be a sad day if that happens.

    Friday’s Shave

    RazoRock Lupo 72
    Lord Platinum (1)
    Omega Roma - Colosseum
Mike’s Pine & Cedarwood Shaving Soap
    T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
    Irisch Moos Aftershave

Exceptional shave this morning. I’m finding myself using the Mike’s soaps more and more often. This Omega brush is finding itself in the rotation almost every other day. Finally I seem to only be using the Lupo and Game Changer razors since they’ve arrived, resulting in stellar results and almost zero random ingrown hairs (which are usually my nemesis). I’m neglecting a lot of my den collection, but I seem to be content doing so. What gives? Perhaps making some easy choices in the morning helps improve my overall mindset just a bit.

2 relaxing passes today provided a comfortable and efficient result this morning with no irritation or mishaps.

Fantastic Friday shave Andrew! I don't have any problems using the same setup a number of times in a row. I remember doing a 30 shave (not 30 days) focus with my 5/8 Wostenholm that only had about 3 shaves on it after I honed it for the very first time. I used the same brush, soap and aftershave throughout the 30 shaves. I started in early Nov 2019 and finished in the middle of December. However, it was a great learning experience in my straight razor journey. Isn't what this thread's about? Doing a focus to improve your technique to dial in a razor, etc. So, you are doing an unintentional mini focus and that is fine with me.

Thanks Jason. It went quite well. We have a little "cruiser" bicycle ride every Thursday evening starting and ending at a local brewpub - https://www.waltersbeer.com/ and that was the 'safe' date location with a big crowd, so we stayed after and had a beer and a pizza. Today we went on a hike at our local reservoir and had a nice 3+mile walk on some of the trails I bomb around on my mountain bike. So it was fun to see some of the scenery at a slower pace and of course the company of a pretty lady makes it much better.

Very nice Jim! That’s what….a 70-200mm/4-5.6 (or thereabouts)? I can’t tell completely with Nikon gear (I’m almost completely Canon, save for a couple specialty Sigma lenses) Very fun (short) DOF play at the distance you were using, considering it’s minimum focus limit.

    Nice Paul!
