That Oakmoss persuasion is news to me-there's a lot in Clubman A.S. and I never had the allergy problem. Course you note that it's a "small percentage" that is affected.

    Great shave.

I loved the ‘face, skin tightening’ effect of alum throughout the day. Occasionally I identified it as a source of irritation mid-day so I began to do an easy rinse before applying other aftershave products.

    Enjoy the meetup.

    SE Shave # 189

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Gem Feather
    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Brush: Semogue Torga C5
Lather: Proraso Aloe and Vitamin E
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Fabulous Saturday morning shave with a classic soap. Perfect way to start the day with an outside X3Bar workout followed by a hot shower and iced water shave. The Gem Feather easily took care of 27 hours of growth with the blade on it’s 10th shave. Still going strong so I will try to push it another one or two shaves.

I am now at a boy’s lacrosse game which I am supervising. It is a top ten weather day with blues skies and a few clouds and a comfortable temperature.

Later, the LI Chapter of the 30DC will be meeting for lunch. Joe, @Trigger, and I will yap about a variety of things for about two hours. This is what happens when you have two Italians breaking bread.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

Wonderful shave report and photo Joseph. I too think that natural ingredients should be used with a clear labeling for those that might be affected.

Excellent photo and shave Joe. Have a great lunch.

Happy Saturday everyone. I decided to go with the ABB shave soap this morning. I find the scent of this soap intoxicating with the benefit of excellent performance. Given its price I find it a real value. Back with the Focus R48 Evo for today's shave. This little guy is just not intuitive for me at all. I will stick with the razor and figure it out. I managed to get a very close shave with only my lower right neck not being BBS. The shave was not as smooth as yesterday. Given the mildness of the razor, I think a sharper blade might help so I will go with a Feather the next time.

We are having friends over lunch. My wife has made Pani Puri and Bhel Puri which are Indian street food snacks. This afternoon we are shopping for vanities and tile for our master bath renovation. Doing without a master bath for the next month or so should be interesting. ;) I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Out of this world shave this morning.

Yates safety razor with H Plate.
    Astra SP blade
Alien Shave shave soap - Solar Orange
    Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT

The Alien Shave soap whipped up nice today. It is a good gylercin soap but in all honesty I cannot tell much difference in any of my gylercin soaps. It would not surprise me if they use the same base.

I used the long handle in the Yates this morning and the handle surprised me. I'm not a fan of long handles but this one just seems to click. It may be because of its small diameter. I appreciate Dave @Dave in KY loaning me this set up.

The Yates performed three beautiful passes for a BBS with no blood loss. The alum was almost silent. Overall a very nice out of this world experience. I may have been transported up to the mother ship this morning but who knows. :D Yes......I left that door open so have fun with it guys. ;)

A little witch hazel and a few squirts of the Bourbon and Oak and this one was in the bag.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.
