Friday morning shave, JA Hellberg half wedge. One of the 22 acquired for 100$. Some honing and stropping and a nice shave. However I prefer mostly a full hollow razor except the little CVH MK No. 24 3/8” that is remarkable nice half wedge. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
5/8 DoubleDuck GoldenEdge Parker Badger Hair Brush Stirling Pre Shave Soap Stirling Shaving Soap Wanted to see how Stirling shaving products performed. Picked up the Naked and Smooth Artisan Shave soap as well as their pre shave soap. The pre shave soap lathered nicely. Easily built a good base to both soften and raise my whiskers. The Naked and Smooth also lathered easily. Just a few seconds of swirling the brush and the lather foamed and built a nice creamy base. The GoldenEdge performed wonderfully. The blade traveled smoothly through the Stirling soap. First pass lefty very little stubble. And only in the tougher spots of the shave area. The second lathering and shave comfortably took the remainder. Would have to say today's shave was enjoyable.

SHB OVB Oxford & Cambridge Homemade brush Harris Pink Some of these old hardware co. straights are really nice shavers. Very nice one pass shave.
After the lawn work •Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange - awesome but discontinued.....try Satsuma as an alternative - cool and citrusy after the lawn •Simpsons Emperor 3 - maybe the perfect brush in my preferences •Dovo 91 - The Sunday Shaver (sharing the 5/8 shoulderless blank with the spiffy 5/8 Bergisher Löwe), scaled in cocobolo, honed by paid pros a couple of times, but never liked by me as much as using the illegal methods. Don’t do this. Stay legal. I love thin grinds. My inventory doesn’t go larger than 6/8, maybe a 7/8 will find it’s way to my house one day. I gotta stop using shavettes, they make my shaving lazy.
Bill (@Edison Carter), going to have to throw another “illegal” flag on your shave... Using a “Sunday Shaver” on a Saturday... unnatural. Excellent shave Bill!
6/8 Manaslu M500 Yasuki Steel (Hitachi White #2), soap was I Coloniali Mango oil and the balm IC Rhubarb. A fine Saturday shave!
Sheesh, I’m already a fugitive on the run. Would it help if I wore my COVID mask when I shaved from now on?
Steve.......I gots to know....... Do you really have 2 of everything??? And if you have a twin.....? Nice stuff!
Well, that was a top notch shave. The Saturday razor from my four day set of midi-Lunds was sublime Hot water preparation Argan Oil PSO Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip Badger Castle Forbes 1445 Shaving Cream Saturday Midi Lund almost 5/8 Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Happy shaving - Karl
Thanks! It’s essentially a scaled down version of what may be my favorite shaving razor The set was the result of a tip-off of a BIN from @Steve56 and I was in such a rush to snag it before someone else that I didn’t notice the mention of the smaller size No matter, it just proves that razors of all sizes can deliver great shaves
Mastro Livi Damascus in Mammoth Brush: Mastro Livi olive wood Suds & Splash: Cella Great setup today... very enjoyable. Enjoy your shave. Tom
No sir... got it last summer. Had to do some slight plastic surgery on the heel/shoulder when I got it, but nothing big and it gives a great shave. Beautiful Silverloaf Keith. The last time you posted that, it made me search the dreaded auction site, and I found he also makes golf stuff and DE handles. Came away with this: Thought it was a pretty cool option for the old Gillette heads.
