Do you use unique storage options for all or some of your stash of blades? Edit: It doesn't have to be fancy... Just different, or uncommon, unique. Show it off here! I'll start.
I like to try and repurpose stuff especially if i need it for something. Nothing cool, but I’ll add some pics Gillette bakelite blade storage ( ok this one is cool): this is what it was meant for Shipping box: fits perfectly about my cabinet Empty staple boxes: for all those loose blades Parker Brush box lid: for additional blades fits 2 rows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It certainly doesn't have to be fancy or "cool"... Just uncommon, or different than the usual. Sidenote: I know of a guy who took a real turtle shell that was empty of its previous owner... like a bowl... He hot-glued legs on it so when it was upside down like a bowl, it would stand up... He said he first tried it as a lather bowl. He didn't care for that so then he started throwing his tucks of blades in it as a storage option.
I've seen people fill up old apothecary jars and barbicide type jars with tucks of razor blades. Would make good for one of those "guess how many...is in the jar and win!" contests.
I keep mine and razors in a Smith & Wesson presentation box. It was originally for my father's Model 28 revolver but unfortunately that was stolen decades ago. The bulk cards of 100 DE razors are kept in a drawer. Not my pic, but looks just like this one.
Besides a few drawers in the bathroom closet and some wooden cigar boxes I do have a couple of pint sized tool boxes and an old jewelry box.
Here's another unique blade storage option I use. My aunt passed this along to me several years ago. She used it as a candy bowl, as did my grandmother whom she inherited it from. I don't have much of a clue on how old it is but it is very old.
